Imagining Irus falling at first sight is very funny to me because like, MC is convinced Irus is judging them and the state they're when they first meet him with Ahlf, yeah? Meanwhile Irus is actually making that face because he's trying to figure out if he's inhaled too much smoke or hit his head at some point en route to Salt Bay - After all, he has to be hallucinating for the most beautiful person he's ever seen to be appearing here, right??

It doesn't help that the MC is dressed only in their sleeping clothes when they first meet 👀

The thought of Irus catching feelings for MC at first sight is so funny to me because Ahlf was there and now I'm just wondering if he saw it.

MC and Irus: gazing at each like lovestruck puppies completely ignoring Ahlf and the Chaos.

Ahlf: ABSOLUTELY NOT! I'm sorry, Your Highness, you're just gonna have to die. *whispers to self* you're not getting my child.

Ahlf would have noticed certain looks but he would have stoically ignored it 😅

just read the whole demo in one go and?? ahlf writing mc a letter saying "you're way more your mother's child than you were ever be mine" AND THEN SALYRA ALMOST CRYING AS SHE TELLS MC "you remind me of him, you're every bit your father's child"

the fact that, to both of mc's parents, mc is just too much like the other for them to handle. i'm unwell. i need to lay down. possibly forever. will never stop thinking about this.

also, what would ahlf think if he knew that, when salyra met mc, she thought mc was 'every bit' like ahlf?

Yes, so much of drama, so much emotional trauma for our poor, sweet MC 🥺😔

Ahlf would have been annoyed, irritated and possibly a bit resentful to hear Salyra say that. In his mind, it's just Salyra being Salyra and twisting everything around but deep down, Ahlf would secretly fear Salyra's right about the MC being like him and that bothers him the most.

Just because I'm curious maybe it's obvious to others but I'm kind of dumb. When MC mentions that they are no longer afraid of thunderstorms. Is Salyra's anger that Ahlf took MC to the sea or is the anger at herself because MC has changed so much? If it's at Ahlf whats so bad about going out on the sea? 😅

Salyra is upset because in that moment, she realises how little she actually knows of the MC - the MC has changed, and Salyra doesn't know how to deal with that absence between them that's always going to be there. She's always slightly angry at Ahlf, whether it be the letters he hid from the MC, or the fact that he made the MC a bona fide fisher, what's not to be angry at him about? 😂

AHH idk if you've answered this yet but how would Ahlf feel about Irus and MC courting? OR EVEN how would he feel about each of the ROs?

I have answered this a few times and this time, I really tried looking for the ask but after scrolling for too long, I realised it was easier to just answer this again 😅

Irus: He's not pleased about this union and will do his best to keep Irus and the MC apart.

Elora: She's just as bad as Irus, another royal? Time to drag the MC to another part of the world to get away from Ellie's influence.

Oren: Oren is a good man and a good soldier. Ahlf would grudgingly approve of this courtship.

Anu: Anyone with divine blessings is bad news. Say bye to this relationship because Ahlf will end it before it even begins.

I was code-diving and noticed something I hadn't seen before - that you can see Ahlf's letters if you decline to meet Danzor and Rana. This was so awesome - but a bit of a shame that you can't see these any other way, as I think it makes sense for either Salyra to offer them or MC demand them if they have a bad relationship (Salyra as a last ditch effort to absolve herself of some guilt). Poor MC :(

Poor MC, indeed 😬 This is all a first draft, so expect tweaks on how to get the letters based on feedback during edits.

Salyra might not want to offer them and not all MCs would demand it from her 👀 But this is a minor edit to incorporate so hopefully there'll be more way to access the letters once the first draft is done and I start editing.
