Is it bad that I like Eirn because she's like that? It's so refreshing to see a character who is so flawed but is so relatable (and so often the protagonist). (Also, that's a favorite characters mood.)

honestly it makes me happy that anyone likes her at all so i’m certainly not complaining :P

like i guess part of me always has Concerns people will take one look at her track record and go ‘wow, gross [blocked]’ and/or assume that i endorse her biases and or actions but at the end of the day that is entirely their prerogative so SHRUG

like for me as well i guess i kind of. enjoy dragging her kicking and screaming through the process of fucking up or having her bullshit challenged and having to like, deal with that like an adult. part of the whole point of digging into a character and figuring out what makes them tick involves figuring out what makes them grow the fuck up and develop as a person

but on that same token i completely get that not everyone wants to Do That and there is no One True Way to have an oc so again SHRUG

I am scrolling up and down the selfie tag and cannot figure out what make this one different other then lack of glasses and hair so it's weird. I wonder if its a hair thing because how i look is really oversensitive to how my hair is?

I was like.. 150lbs lighter, my chin and upper lip didn’t have as much hair, and yes, my hair was different.  but my face was definitely noticeably thinner.

she looks Gorgeous!!! brodies cat has a lion cut every summer :') I hope she's doing lots better and keeps doing better <3

she is doing very well, she desperately wants to not be kept in the bathroom but we want to make sure the wound heals a bit more before the other cats and her interact much, since pikachu can be a little shit.

You can't let cats have long term painkillers they will become addicts and be feral cats who bite people /s

totally.  although this medication I think it’s just iffy how they process it.  I know you can’t really give cats nsaids long term, at least not in the US usually, but this medication is a synthetic opioid.  so idk.  probably too expensive for long term use either way :/

Amurri doesn’t really have a stronghold - if she had to have one it’d probably be on Tatooine so she’s away from both major factions and has some independence. She’s mostly comfortable on her ship and/or other non-affiliated areas/worlds (like Nar Shaddaa).

20. Do they have a love interest? Who?

She doesn’t have a significant/long-term one. She has several flings/short-term relationships (possibly including one with Aric Jorgan - I haven’t decided if that really makes sense/would work, though). She’s a little too focused on/obsessed with her work and personal quest for vengeance against Mandalore to really care much.

24. If they could be part of another group, what would it be? You can choice from Old Republic, Expanded Universe, or Cinematic Universe.

Probably she’d prefer being a Mandalorian when Canderous was leading things or possibly during the Vong War, where they were fighting for their people and the galaxy against capable opponents rather than being a pawn for either major faction (especially the Sith/Empire given their pattern of doing so).

redemption-through-love is not redemption and i will die on this hill

you cannot be a better person if you do not want to be a better person for the sake of being a better person. period. external motivations fail because they are dependent on things other than yourself. desiring to be a good person so that people like/love you hinges your character growth on the approval of others, making said growth vulnerable to ‘fuck it, why did i bother’ when it turns out that, shock horror, people are not required to like you because you have the appearance of some basic semblance of decency.

am i unreasonably bitter about people in my life who only tried to demonstrate that they were halfway decent in an attempt to ingratiate themselves to me? maybe! are there examples of people (real as well as fictional) who used external motivations for self improvement and, all the same, achieved improvement that was both genuine and lasting? perhaps! does this do anything to negate the vast swathes of the human population who perform decency for external motivations (social currency, approval, woke points, etc) while maintaining uglier inner lives? no, it doesn’t!

(and this doesn’t even begin to touch on the fact that people who cry about mara jade gleefully erase luke’s disneycanon love interest, who is a woman of colour... albeit one who gets fridged)
