When Ryder met Shepard on the Citadel, Ryder told Shepard how he looked up  to him. Shepard was excited to see a young individual be confident in who they are and be so sure of themselves. After finding Meridian, Ryder turned in the general direction of the Milky Way, saluted, and repeated the line back to Shepard.

Night time in the Mediterranean, in his home town of Acireale. Sitting on the rocky shores near his childhood home, knees pulled to his chest. He looks up at the moon, clear skies and not a cloud in site. The flashing of the stars and distant lights calm him as a light breeze rustles his hair. And he hears ambient sounds of waves and light city noise.

Alessa

Blizzard, extremely snowy weather in Western British Columbia where Bailey is from. They visit their cabin in the mountains every winter. She absolutely is obsessed with Winter and Winter activities. Garrus hates it. He hates all of it. He complains a lot. But the gang (Garrus, Farin, Farin’s Boyfriend….. all Turians LOL; and Alessa and Bailey) all enjoy spending time off with each other. And Winters they usually spend on Earth with Bailey’s kids.

Nathaniel Owen

Rainy Nights especially. He loves watching city lights and hearing city noise through the sound of thunder and rain storms.

Arthur

Summer nights in Latin America. He and Steve spend a few weeks out of the year in Steve’s home town. They love staying up at night and just lying on a blanket in a park and staring up at the stars trying to get a feel for how things used to be before space travel.

His first kiss was actually with Steve on the Citadel. Growing up, he knew he was gay and he was proud of who he was. He was always so sure of himself and that was where his pride came from. He’s not asexual or aromantic, he does experience attraction a lot actually. He just always chose not to enter into a relationship, especially when he was running with the Reds in Rome.

So when Steve invites him for drinks and kisses him, he felt right. He felt good, he cared a lot for Steve.

Alessa

Her first REAL kiss was with Kaidan during one of their first deployments before she was made a Commander. She, Ashley, and Kaidan and a few other human crew were on shore leave and had been playing some heavy drinking games in Alessa’s penthouse on the Citadel.

This is long before her dishonorable discharge by the way.

As they were “attempting” to clean up, as much as they could being shit faced, Alessa fell face first onto the couch and claimed that the apartment was clean (it was not) and Kaidan tried to pick her up but he fell on top of her. Commence awkward drunk laughing and a few drunk kisses.

Nathaniel Owen

His first time on the Citadel as a young adult (around 20), he was perusing some of the stores on the Presidium for some new tech when he met a lovely Asari. They struck up a conversation/debate over the best omni tool brands and ended up buying some new upgrades.

Afterwards, Nate asked them out for drinks and they really hit it off. They walked back to his hotel room and kissed at the door before the Asari left to go home. They went on a few dates for awhile, but when he was recruited into the Alliance, they drifted apart until a mutual breakup after he returned from basic.

Arthur

His best friend as a teenager ;D You know…. the “omg I’m gay for my best friend” trope. That’s how Arthur realized he liked guys. The best kind of gay trope for young adults :D Also think Craig and Dadsona from DD///a//dds

He and his best friend were on the Citadel after school one night and spending time at his friend’s apartment. They ended up sleeping on the floor in front of the TV screen that was playing reruns of their favorite show.

They accidentally end up cuddling and then Arthur gets hit with feels all of a sudden, but his friend smiles and they share a small kiss <3

Day 3 - Ahnzo Vincente Shepard

Ahnzo is my precious gay ruthless badass. After the war he spends time writing his memoirs with Esteban, and advocating and doing charity work for LGBT, homeless, and gang/at risk youth.

Ahnzo was a son of an Alliance Admiral father and a college professor mother. He was born in Acireale, Italy and lived on the coast. When he was about 6 months old he was tragically orphaned, the deaths of his parents were never explained to him and he never found out what happened to them.

He was then raised in an Alliance facility in Rome, where he later (and brutally) masacred his escape at the age of 8. He ran away and ended up running with the gangs of the area and eventually rising up to lead many of its factions; specifically the infiltration units.

When he was about 17 years old, he and his team went on a mission to raid a secret Alliance facility for weapons. The job went south and Ahnzo eventually was faced with a choice to either die with his men or run. He ran. Knowing what faced him if he returned to his gang family, he felt going on the run as a fugitive was the best option.

He ended up at a house on the coast, which coincidentally was his childhood home. He discovered a lot of the house was still in tact and eventually found out what his real name was. He then adopted Vincente as his middle name, after his father.

Which of your Shepards is the most sensible when it comes to matters of the heart and who wears their heart of their sleeve?

I am so so sorry for taking so long with this ask!! I know I received it almost two weeks ago, but I have been dealing with some things that have caused me writer’s block on with regards to my OC. So it’s been hard to write and answer for them.

I greatly appreciate you sending an ask and your patience with me :)

Kathryn J would have to be the most sensible. She is full Renegade (except with Garrus), but never ever lets her personal feelings affect military and tactical judgments. She is extremely level headed, and though she can be extremely harsh she always chooses the diplomatic response despite her very brash attitude.

Kathryn J believes there is a time and place for everything. For example, when trying to broker peace between factions or groups, she knows not to let her personal feelings on the matter get in the way. She is objective despite having very strong opinions one way or another. She is able to see the greater good of coming to a compromise despite actually feeling the complete opposite. She thinks of everyone as a whole and bases her decisions accordingly.

For example: Kathryn J hates the Geth. A LOT. She sold Legion to Cerberus and essentially wants to kill any Geth she sees. However, she understands the overall tactical advantage and importance to broker peace between the Quarians and the Geth (that’s not how it actually went in game but that’s my headcanon anyway for her haha).

I know I talked with this about you in a message, but I still don’t really see any of my Shepards as ones who wear their hearts on their sleeve. I see this saying as people who aren’t afraid to share their true feelings, or as one who is more emotional (but not in a weird way). None of my Shepards are ones to be emotional or ones to share their feelings outright. Alessa would be the closest I feel like, however she only shares her true feelings and opinions with Bailey and not everyone as a whole.

Ahnzo could be next? But he’s ruthless and not an emotional person at all. He never hides his opinions with anyone, he’s seen by many as a tyrant in a way. He’s always open with how he feels, even if his opinions are extremely controversial.

But overall, none of my Shepards are a typical “wear your heart on your sleeve” type of person.

Alessa: Bailey’s pancakes and waffles!! Basically imagine the best pancake or waffle you’ve ever had and multiply its amazingness and wonderful succulent taste by infinity. That’s a Bailey Waffle and/or Pancake.

Ahnzo: He loves his pastas the most of any Italian cuisine. But having been married to Cortez, he is now hooked on anything and everything Mexican.

Kathryn J: Coffee. Black. That’s a food right?

Vittore: Though they were horrible Colony rations, he actually misses them a great deal. His family was able to concoct the most amazing dinners from the rations. Making them to be more than what they were given.

A food they can’t stand?

Alessa: Garrus and Farin attempting to make Bailey’s pancakes and waffles. Seriously guys… never again, you almost made her vomit all over the kitchen. Don’t make Turians cook human food.

Ahnzo: Anything fried and/or greasy.

Kathryn J: Is this coffee? No? I don’t want it.

Vittore: Growing up with little, but able to get by, Vittore grew to love the little things and being able to live with less. He sometimes refuses to eat elaborate meals just because he is so unaccustomed to the large portions and meals. He is able to eat enough to be healthy, but he can’t do the 5 course meals.

What are their guilty pleasures?

Alessa: She hides nothing from Bailey, Farin, or Garrus. So there’s not much of her interests or pleasures that would be considered as a guilty pleasure.

Ahnzo: Learning new things. It seems strange, but he always exudes the attitude of knowing everything. Or showing no weakness to things he is unfamiliar with. He is currently learning Mexican Spanish and Spain Spanish, as well as similar Spanish dialects, for the sake of Steve. He wants to learn more about his husband’s culture, language, and upbringing.

Kathryn J: Coffee ice cream dates with Garrus in the Observation Lounge.

Vittore: Despite his tough exterior, he has an affinity for cute small fluffy things. This leads him to his extreme love for his hamster and later on the Varren+ rescue with his girlfriend Jack.

Favorite Sex Positions?

Alessa: She and Bailey have only a few limits for positions. No upside down for either of them is the biggest, and nothing over ledges or barriers/railings. Neither of them need the dizziness from being upside down or the fear of falling over a railing during sex :P But anything that doesn’t have these restrictions is free game. They are a very open couple and are always experimenting with new things sexually.

Ahnzo: His most favorite is entering Steve from behind. That way he can dig his nails into Steve’s hips as he slides himself in and out. Also this position leaves Steve vulnerable to lots of spanking ;) His next favorite is missionary with him as a submissive. This is more of a guilty pleasure for him. When Steve enters Ahnzo in this position, Ahnzo will drag his nails and scratch Steve’s back. If he is able, he will also moderately bite on Steve’s collarbone and shoulders. They love their scratching and biting and nail digging heh.

Kathryn J: She loves any position where she’s on top and Garrus has easy access to her breasts. She just loves looking down at her chest and seeing Garrus’s talons encompass her, digging his nails into her skin as he thrusts hard up into her. Plus Garrus just loves grabbing her soft boobs ;)

Vittore: He is definitely one who prefers being submissive almost 99% of the time. He just loves when Jack takes control of him, telling him what to do, etc. He just can’t ever seem to get enough. 3. What is your OC’s favorite food?

Bailey makes these pancakes and waffles that are just absolutely delicious. They eat them with Canadian Maple syrup they import from Earth. It costs a lot for them to import it all the way to the Citadel, but it’s so totally worth it.

One time when Bailey was gone for a couple weeks on a Sting operation, Farin and Garrus attempted to make these pancakes and waffles to help cheer Alessa up. But they failed. Miserably. Don’t ever have Turians cook human food.

21. Who is your OC’s best friend?

That would have to be Garrus and Farin [Turian OC]. Garrus saw through her facade on the Normandy during the height of her drug addiction. And Farin was the guard who was assigned to watch Alessa as part of her Citadel Rehab program.

25. What time of year does your OC prefer?

Winter in Northern BC, Canada!! Or anywhere that is cold and has snow capped mountains. But she and Bailey definitely prefer winter time in Northern Canada.

3. What’s your OC’s favorite food?

PASTA!! Yes Ahnzo here is a stereotypical Italian. Yes he loves his pasta. But he does know every pasta recipe on Earth (or he just saves them to his personal terminal, he just says he knows them all himself heh).

21. Who is your OC’s best friend?

Ahnzo doesn’t really have any best friends. He just has people he knows. He is married to Steve now, and Steve is best friends with Vega. But Ahnzo and Vega don’t really get along well, but they tolerate each other for the sake of Steve.

Kaidan and Ahnzo are the closest, but I wouldn’t call them best friends.

25. What time of year does your OC prefer?

Well considering that Ahnzo and Steve live on the Normandy, they don’t really have seasons. When they take vacations, they don’t visit Earth that much (at least not until they get older). When they do visit Earth, and end up settling there after the Normandy becomes too old to fly, they prefer Italy in the late Fall.

3. What is your OC’s favorite food?

He is like what a Thedas equivalent of a vegetarian is. He just really hates the taste of meat. Plus he really is repulsed by the idea of eating something that was once a living breathing, had a heart pumping being.

He has to eat meat though. He doesn’t like it, but supplements from an apothecary do not give him enough nutrients to keep up his current fitness level and physique.

21. Who is your OC’s best friend.

Dorian: What are you doing? *sticks his head in through the door*

Ahnzo: Nothing…

Dorian: Looks like you’re doing something… something secretive!! SALACIOUS!!

Ahnzo: *groans* I am answering a bunch of questions. Someone in Orlais wants to write a book on my life.

I am not particularly familiar with how seasons work in Thedas. But it definitely would be the Thedas equivalent of Winter/Spring!!
