– ♡ good morning lovely ones! so, while we’ve already made the announcement on our discord, as well as discussed it at great length with our members, the admin team is finally hopping back onto tumblr to update the main here as well! our original plan when we took a brief hiatus last month was to transition astralis onto jcink for an upgrade that would benefit our wonderful little group that’s been open for seven months now, but after a well-documented issue with one of our oldest members not being able to access jcink, we made the decision to put a halt on the revamp for the time being and stay on tumblr for a little bit longer.
there are still plenty of changes we’ll be implementing (an increase in characters, an extended activity period, and eventually, muse cycling), and you’ll see all of that and more within the next week or so as we brush off our dust and take care of some housekeeping on the main. our core members have already been notified via the discord, but we’ll be officially reopening for activity on wednesday, april 7th; for all NEW characters, you’ll have until thursday, april 8th to post your intro as well as as an ic post, and all current characters will be given the updated fourteen day activity period to come back from hiatus.
the admin team will also be making some adjustments to our rules in regards to not just the aforementioned character limit, flex activity, and muse cycling, but also inclusivity, diversity, and racial sensitivity. at its core, astralis is a group run by an admin team that is 2/3rds poc and specifically designed to be a safe and welcoming space for poc in particular; please expect to see some changes in our rules that will further reflect this!

The Story So Far (Recap)...
With the coming of the Winter Solstice, there are those who sought to face calamity head-on through the development of new and tenuous alliances. High Lord Gabriel Beaumont of the Night Court was the first to take action, cementing an unheard-of alliance between his court, The Garden and the Wild Hunt in the unparalleled Beaumont-Wren wedding. Yet mere days into this uncertain political alliance, a murder took place within their territories, seeing a civilian of Autumn slain by a group branding themselves as a human Resistance. Their enemies emboldened, the attacks on the Fae increased, nearly claiming the life of the High Lord of Spring and plunging their budding alliance with Winter and Autumn into doubt.
What’s more, the Fae have been dealt with a terrible loss in the shocking death of Lysander Caerwyn, Dawn Court’s High Lord at the hands of none other but the Resistance’s co-leader Noa Kumar. Rising from the ashes of his untimely murder is the long-presumed dead Faun Deerling - Spring Court’s former High Lady. Never before have there been such massive changes among the solar courts, and Dawn in particular is scrambling to find a new leader; all the while, Spring Court is desperately vying for Faun’s reinstatement as Queen.
But as the Fae Courts and human resistance alike struggle against these latest violent changes to everything they know, the Solstice draws ever closer, bringing with it changes that threaten to jeopardize everything...
– ♡ good evening, loves! the admins wanted to pop in and let you know that we will be making a few temporary tweaks to our activity rules! given that the holiday season is upon us and we know a lot of people are under particular stress this year, we will be doing an activity check break from friday, december 18th, 2020 to january 4th, 2021, so you all have a reprieve from strictly adhering to the 10 day (currently 14 for the holidays) activity window during that time! we encourage everyone to continue with your threads as is, but we hope this will take some of the pressure off of all of you as we move into a crazy season of the year. however, the one thing that we are still requesting all members to keep track of posting on time is the anonymous holiday gift exchange. please refer to our previous post on the matter if you signed up for the exchange!
the main will go “quiet” during this time, so to speak. we will not be accepting any additional characters from new or existing members in this timeframe since we will be on a bit of a lull. the admin team will continue to update members regularly through the group discord and hope that you can all take this time to recharge, refresh, and enjoy whatever holiday you may celebrate in the month of december! additionally, as a gift to our members and to celebrate being open for almost four months, during the first week back from our hiatus (so, the first full week of january), we will be allowing all members to apply for one additional character with no restrictions in regards to existing activity. furthermore, we will be increasing the maximum amount of characters you can have from six to seven in the new year, as well. please take this time to decide if an additional character is feasible for you and we hope to see all of your current and new babies in the new year!

– ♡ gooooood afternoon and welcome back, lovebugs! the december holidays have dwindled down, and per our announcement in the group’s discord yesterday, the admin team is so excited to open things back for proper roleplaying, plot drops, etc.!
now that we’re back to our regularly scheduled program of 10 day activity, we have a few additional updates for all existing (and prospective members! as we expressed to our members when we started the holiday hiatus, we’re going to be upping our character limit to 7 characters (yay!). starting today, everyone will be able to apply for an additional character. however, we want to reach out and express a gentle reminder to everyone to please take your own individual activity into consideration before taking on an additional character. if you’re someone who struggled with activity because of real life commitments, that’s something to take into consideration before applying for another character. the admin team will be keeping an eye on activity and inclusion of interactions, as per usual, and if we feel your activity or inclusivity is becoming a problem, we’ll have to address it with you privately and problem solve to figure out what the best solution is for your unique schedule / availability.
