Wolves

Two wolves howl at the empty sky 

Warning as they pass each other by 

White and black across the field does fly 

For victory is the land they fight dyed. 

Two wolves howl at the falling rain 

Called to battle again and again 

Everything to lose and all to gain 

All they would keep is torn twain. 

Two wolves howl at the silver moon 

White and black mad as loons 

Stand against the rising dunes 

Stand together is a boon. 

Two wolves walk away from here 

There is nothing left to fear 

Black and white together near 

Holding close the other dear.
