A FEVER DREAM
I remember there was a claw machine at an arcade that have a rabbit plush that resembles the bunny character from A.K.I.’s report (and love letter) to F.A.N.G .
At first I thought it was just a random stuff toy that just happen to look like AKI’s bunny, so I didn’t think much of it.
Months later, I went to another place with more claw machines and found these bunnies again.
That got me curious about this character. I first used Google Reverse Image search. It took me a while to find something about it, but there’s an image where the plush has its tag. I looked at it and it had “aei/love.” I searched this up and found a WordPress blog that’s titled “Love Piece Tour 2008.” I then searched further and found that this character was created by J-Pop singer, Ai Otsuka. The bunny’s name is simply Love and is something of a persona of the singer for one of her albums. This is the wiki description of Love:
According to the official profile, Love is a female bunny weighing 22 kilograms with a height of 99 centimeters. Her speech consists of few words. She is often shy and lonely, but acts restless. Love lacks the ability to jump and has slow movement, and her hobbies include turning over, being idle, and playing tricks. Love also likes cheap candy such as milk wafers, and dislikes people without substance, dentists, and non-organic vegetables.
Oh, she is SO CUTE!!
I’m not sure if A.K.I.’s bunny is based off of Ai Otsuka’s Love or if it’s just coincidence, but the resemblance is very uncanny!
