Yuta watched the girl as she spoke, trying to read how she feels. Usually it wasn’t a difficult task for him to understand his guests, but this one in particular seemed like a puzzle to him. “It’s a usual view for a Monday night. After a busy weekend it’s pretty much quiet during working days”, he shrugs, while rearranging the bottles on the counter.

Yuta shakes his head with a soft smile as the girl smartly avoids his question. “Not sure, I don’t really follow those, even if I start watching something after work, I doze off pretty much after 5 minutes into it”.

ai observed him while he was working and sipping her drink she nodded. “i get it. being a bartender makes it hard to actually watch anything on tv. i know since i am a barwoman and most nights i work and sleep through the day then i work again and again during the night.” she shared that detail sighing. “even dating isn’t easy~ i don’t have much free time to do that either.”

“oh you are still doing this after all this time?” she asked in shock. “i thought it was only a one day thing.” she said sticking her tongue out. “it doesn’t even work as a punishment in the first place. but sure, you can kiss me i suppose. or you can go on a date with me.”

In Hyeonyong’s opinion, Ai was way too close to perfection. Beautiful, smart, thoughtful. She didn’t need a man to live like human being should. So of course, seeing her soaked wet because of not having umbrella was pretty shocking. He shook his head looking at her with straight face. “I told you I can pick you up, women.” He led her to his bedroom. Of course he didn’t want her to get sick and was pretty sure she had the same thought. Giving her clothes and space to change, he went out of the room to prepare something hot to drink. But he forgot his phone, so before he could close his eyes, he saw her changing. “I like the view” escaped his mouth and he couldn’t be more happy than now. Because the lights were shining so small that he was sure she couldn’t see his red face. “Sorry. I didn’t mean to.” He took his phone from the desk. “Just forgot that.” He went out again, cursing at himself in his mind.

whatever excuse he had to give, ai wasn’t buying it. but at the moment she had no other choice but to wait for her clothes to dry off. so after finishing getting dressed she stepped out of the room, walked towards the livingroom. “your clothes are kinda too big for me but it’s okay.” she gave him that suspicious look. “i would  have never taken you for a peeping tom hyeonyong.” she said sticking her tongue out at him. “how much did you see? spill it.”

If not invisible paper and pencil, he would believe he is visiting psychologist. Her laugh and invisible things betrayed her, making him rolled his eyes. “Not snoring. I’d rather look for cause of my current insomnia in 3 cups of coffee last 6 hours.” He admitted, looking away. Every evening, then night had the same scenario. Drinking coffee to not to fall asleep in his office, then having troubles with going to bed in the night. Every. Single. Night. “Maybe I should change the work hours. Or get over my addiction to coffee. Which one would you recommend me?” He tilted his head, going back with his eyes to fix them on hers.

ai was certainly not expecting the cause to be just coffee. though it could also depend on the brand he was having. “first of all, if you are drinking espresso then stop it and switch to a cappuccino with milk. it does the job for the time you drink it and it doesn’t last all night.” she said with a light nod of her head. “however if it continues, i would advise you to just stop drinking coffee all together. it’s not good for your body to drink too much of it. ne cup a day should suffice. you could also try accupuncture. or try drinking milk.”

ai visited jisoo after a long day at work. greeting him by the door with a hug she took off her blazer and hooked the loop on the hanger while neatly placing her shoes with her feet to the side. “i’m a few minutes late, i’m sorry.” she said standing in front of him. she looped her arms around his neck while tip toeing managing to reach his cheek for a kiss. “should i be dinner ~ i mean make your dinner.” what an embarrassing language mistake to make. shameless cupid.

ai was assigned by the community of the elder cupids, those who were born with such powers and didn’t inherit in the process, the task to go to manchester and find alicia. she was the one in charge of the area when all of a sudden she started to not follow the rules of the cupids and ended up pairing people who simply she shouldn’t have. ai’s task? to find her and talk to her, try to see what exactly made her disobey every cupid law and act irresponsibly. 

however in order to find a supernatural cupid, ai had to hire a supernatural detective as well. that was how one of the elders gave her directions of where to go. truth be told, ai would much rather be in seoul or tokyo doing her job than having to go take care of a cupid turning rogue. but it wasn’t up to her and she had no intentions of going against the council when she had already had a lot to prove.

the japanese lady was in the office seated in the chair accross the detective. she didn’t feel very comfortable but that wasn’t the purpose of her visit in the first place. “i’m sorry i came without calling for an appointment. it was a very urgent matter, as soon as i was assigned my mission i came here... “ she took out her business card in order to give it to the other as part of her introduction. “i’m tenou ai, manager of a marriage hunting agency. and i am in need of your services. i’m looking for a cupid gone rogue.... her name is alicia. i have a picture if you need it...”

her hands worked their way against her client’s and friend’s back. it was important for her to always make sure every client left her hands feeling light and most of all, feeling like their back was ‘young’ again. “you really need to watch how you sit because part of your problem is also that.” she said pressing her knuckles down his spine as if she was kneading. “you also need to be releasing your stress you see, stress goes and sits right here.” she said poking at his shoulders. “you don’t go out at night to dance or something like that?”

the tv was on and the show they were watching was a new korean crime drama. she had the popcorn in her lap and if her guest wanted he could stick his hand in the bowl any time to eat as well. she figured it was best if she held the bowl because she couldn’t trust that he wouldn’t make a mess. half way she felt a weight on her right shoulder and she turned her head to look at him. mainly if he fell asleep. no he was awake. tossing a popcorn in her mouth with her other hand and catching it of course, ai reached to touch his hair with her hand. “hope no dandruff snows on my clothes.” she joked and quickly added another teasing remark. “and also i hope you’re not trying to look under my shirt to catch a glimpse of my bra and cleavage.” of course she wasn’t serious and by poking his forehead itachi-style, she made sure he’d get it and not move away. she had borrowed his shoulders a few times, letting him have hers for a while wasn’t a bit deal, even if there was going to be some dandruff snowing on the fabric of her shirt.
