27. something you’re proud of
uhhh i don’t feel like this often so i thought i’d say it. i’m proud of my art. it’s not perfect by any means and i clearly have a LOT to learn but i’m proud of it anyway. and i’m proud of my commitment to drawing something for every julien baker song. so far i’m halfway through her discography (21/41. i’m including decorated lawns and counting over and appointments as one song) and even if i don’t make it all the way through, at least i can say i got this far. i don’t like every drawing i’ve done but i REALLY like some of them. and i’m planning to scan ALL of them and trace and color and adjust them in procreate (even though i don’t have much experience doing that) until hopefully i like some of the ones i don’t like a little bit more. i want to use colors from the album covers but we’ll see how that works out. i’ll send pictures of the pencil drawings to you when i’m done with those (which should be right before my concerts or a little bit after if i keep messing with them or if i skip some days) and i’ll also probably show them to my parents and my therapist but i don’t think i’ll post them on the internet. the internet is only getting the polished procreate versions. (if that works out. if not, i’ll probably just post my favorites of the pencil drawings.) anyway oops i guess i just used an old ask (from APRIL) to blab about my art plans. oh well!
