He blinked in surprise - presumably he’d been busy enough with the most important things to have not realized what day it was. But it was when he saw the look on his lover’s face that he realized it, and even as he turned to smile at her, he still started to panic inside upon learning of his own mistake.

She grabbed her trenchcoat off her office seat and shrugged in on heavily, cinching it at her waist as she walked out and locked the door. It had been an early day, but she was getting herself out with a few hours left of sun to enjoy the outdoors after spending all day behind a desk. She had just passed the secretary’s desk on the first floor when Jinora burst through the doors, a little wide-eyed as she searched around, no doubt for her. Lin frowned and approached her in a few, long strides.

Chrom was never one to simply walk past if one was in need of help - whether the other may need it or not - so when the other had caught his attention, he felt the need to approach them with a smile upon his face. Nothing wrong with helping someone in need now, was there?

“Huh-” Bumi stopped when Jinora did, taking a hand to rub at his chin. “You know what, I’m not sure either. Probably because you looked so peaceful, and I was pretty bored.” He chuckled, and walked to sit under one of the ten thousand five hundred fifty two trees on the island.

“Come, let’s sit, I think we’re both old enough to have fun without chasing each other.” Bumi patted the spot next to him, a smile to his niece. “Unless you want to end up caught, and tossed to the water, because you and I both know I was going to win.”

Meelo’s sudden pulling her into a hug caused her to chuckle softly, as she warmly embraced her little brother in reciprocation.

Jinora was not used to Meelo displaying his affection for her, as he typically did not show it; nevertheless, she savored the moment.

Meelo kept a whole of his hug, in fact, slightly tightened his grip around his big sister’s waist, giving he a playful smile.
