Have the dev team slept at all recently?
surprisingly yes, but the days pass incredibly slowly atm bc we’re all excited for v12 to finally be released
Z, X, U
Z: Major character death–do you ever write/read it? Is there a character whose death you can’t tolerate?
I could be convinced to read it, I rarely ever write it. It’s hard to do these things well.
X: A character you enjoy making suffer.
Rn i’m in a “let’s fuck up Lan Jingyi” mood but every day is destroy Jiang Cheng day (i’m in a mdzs mood sue me)
U: A pairing you might like to write for, but haven’t tried yet.
🤔liushen? or like. Liu Qingge/Xie Lian.
Top three writing moments?
THIS IS A REALLY HARD QUESTION, I’m not sure how to answer ahhh!!!
Completing a story is always huge, especially for me and my ridiculous longfics. So… Completing Growing Up with You was probably my biggest fanfiction moment!
Ahhhh! Gosh this is a great question and I really wish I had a better answer, but… I think I tend to keep my eyes on forward momentum, so I can’t think of any writing moment or part of a story that was particularly meaningful. I can say that I’ve been working on the next upcoming Seeking Resonance update off and on for… years. Years! It’s sort of the climax of the story, and I can’t seem to get it right! It’s always nice when things flow, but it’s interesting to learn where you tend to get stuck…
Ah, but for a great mix of relationships/feels/humor in a quick oneshot, I recommend A Gentleman’s Wager! Kind of gives you a general feel for my writing, I think?
Thanks for the ask <333
Tiny question I don't remember if anyone's asked in previous years: can we use different OTPs for each prompt? Or would it be better if they were all for the same one?
Hi there, so for future reference, if you check our Rules/FAQ page you’ll be able to see more details about what all is encouraged for this event.
But to answer your question right here and now. You don’t have to try to make every prompt for the same OTP if you don’t want to. Feel free to create content for as many OTPs as you’d like to.

Exactly. I mean the person isn't great anyway but they've seen my workload. Anyone who does knows I am getting to it as fast as I can
Yep. Like, people have lives??? outside of fic??? Ugh. I just get bothered by how much is for granted.

Tbhhh I've been at this for 10 and someone who I wrote a gift fic for was like, when is it getting updates? My dude it's not even been a month.
That makes me wanna scream. It’s a GIFT???? Sit down and think about how cool it is that an awesome author wants to do the hard job of writing you a thing? Go leave a good comment on something whenever you wonder if it’s ever gonna update.

Your stuff is so great! I love how you handle the geahs
Aw, thank you so much!

And I was just sitting here thinking. "Man I love how DL draws geahs"
Thanks, I love how I draw them too

what is this person on about, trying to guilt-control what you want to draw like this
Apparently they’d prefer to confront me over content they dislike rather than walk away. Obviously it takes less effort to click a button than trying to get me to change my mind on something I’ve thought long and hard about.
