Continuing this week's Skygrasper project by combining it with my RG Aile Strike...

So, of course, you can equip the launcher strike pack on the Strike Gundam. It works fine, but there's not a lot of gimmicks to it. There's the big cannon an the shoulder equipment, but that's it. Looks decent. Poses well. Just not super-interesting.

The sword strike pack offers a lot more gimmicks. There's the beam boomerang, the rocket anchor, and the anti-ship sword. And the supplied wire is more than strong-enough to support the rocket anchor.

And you can attach the aile striker to the Skygrasper as well.

But this kind of points out another weird omission with this kit... There's absolutely no way to equip more than one striker pack at a time.

No way to carry the launcher and sword on the Skygrasper at the same time. No way to display both of them on the armor stand at the same time. And absolutely no way to set up a Perfect Strike

I guess there was a P-Bandai Perfect Strike kit? But it still feels like they could've included the parts with this kit...

Ecopla - aile strike:

This was an absolute joy to build, the plastic was relatively soft and sprue marks were barely visible, the articulation is fantastic and the base is cool as fuck. My only criticism is that the vfin was very loose and did not seem like it was being held in place at all - i may have done something wrong, but i may not have, just be careful building this kit - i ended up gluing it and it looked great

EG Custom 1/144 MBF-02XS + AQM/E-X01 "Aile Strike Rouge Blade Excess"

My custom EG Strike Rouge is back! This was originally a rather simple custom (Strike Rouge Excess), with just a little paint and kitbashing, but later I added the Sword Strike option parts to add a little of my own flair to it (Strike Rouge Blade Excess).

This time, I've only really added the Aile Striker backpack option. I did a little customisation, modifiying the Sword Strike mount to connect to the 3mm beam saber ports that come with the Aile Striker. It really helps fill out this custom kit and make it look a lot more complete.

I was also able to come back and add some stickers. These ones have the Orb Union logo, the operators of the Strike Rouge.

The Aile Striker backpack is quite heavy, so you can only really display the kit with an action base as support. With an action base, however, you can get a lot of cool poses out of the EG, including a few of the iconic poses from the SEED series.

For now I've kept the bright green beam saber effects, but I'm considering swapping them out for the pink effects used by most of the SEED era suits.

This custom build is probably done for now, so I'll need to find a new cheaper kit to customise in a similar manner.
