And that was darling. @absolutebl More gay marriage and family acceptance and love! It was definitely predictable but cute and fluffy and exactly what I wanted from AiLongNhai.

Ai answering the phone call in the middle of making out with Nhai broke my heart, honestly. Of course Nhai is going to feel like their relationship changed if that kind of thing happens! And it's been happening through this special, Ai going off or forgetting... it actually makes perfect sense for Nhai to be doubting what's going on now.

(I mean, its really obviously not actually bad but it makes sense.)

The sheer dramatic music over Nhai not getting to open a paper bag that might have had snacks in it is so this show. I love them for it so much. Nhai is so dramatic and tiny and Ai obviously has some secret and it's so tiny and darling. I love these boys and their Absolutely Tiny Issues that sometimes snowball.

But also this was a good line, honestly, like a really good one.

Okay, this special episode is already adorable and awkward in all the ways I love Ai Long Nhai and I adore them all. I've just started and I don't even care, they're all tiny idiots and adorable and this show never needed to be deep.

Very glad to get this after the super mediocre last episode, though!

AiLongNhai Ep 12 (Finale) Stray Thoughts

We're finally at the end. This show has been cute, but ultimately kinda forgettable. Not a lot happened in this show, but I had moments I enjoyed. I hope this wasn't a flop financially.

I do want to acknowledge that the subs for this show improved in real time. They felt a bit rough at the beginning.

Where are they camping? Who set up these lights?

I do like when BL relies on its own cultural folktales. It's fun getting curious about them and looking them up.

Yes, let's put Ai and Nhai next to average height girls so they look like giants.

If there's one thing we learn consistently in BL, it's that you better dry your hair immediately after a shower or you will most certainly get sick.

Mhmm, and now he's got dengue fever and had to be forcibly dragged to the hospital.

Amused at Nhai being a dramatic man who is convinced his partner hates him for forcing him to go to a hospital when he's sick with a persistent fever.

This show better not be teasing me about all the dads meeting.

I'm so glad Arm and Porsche got to play a married couple. This must have been a vibe for them.

I don't mind seeing them be domestic and possessive of each other, but I feel like I was denied the dad dinner and am disappointed.

Final Verdict: 6, Only Watch if You're Bored. Look, this show was dull, and nothing really happened. Also, every side couple teased got no development and had no real thematic resonance with the main couple. This show feels like a sketch board of ideas they wanted to pull together. Unfortunately, the acting was forgettable as well. It was cute and fairly friendly, but I won't be coming back to this.
