This is for one of my favorite Wild meets the chain fics by @aimeelouart here on tumblr and AimeeLouWrites on Ao3.

Her work is incredible both artistically and writing wise and I can’t Believe I haven’t done fanart/fanfic for her work yet. Her work dragged me into the final fantasy fandom, and then I stayed for FF7 and the Linked Universe content.

Anyways we have some Wild being chaotic in this beautiful fic where he convinces the chain of absolute lies ;)

Aerith sighs, put upon. “Oh fine, I’ll bring out the big guns. You also get to go on a power trip and save their planet. Will you go now?” Save the planet? That sounds nice. He’s definitely developed a lot of planet-saving skills since his cadet days. He mulls the offer over, crossing his arms over his chest. His eyes slide back to Aerith. “The soulmate nonsense is unavoidable?” She nods sagely. “As inevitable as death and taxes. I’m not setting up a power trip for free.”

Ah Mark of the Odds, the Mark of the Gods sequel that's been in limbo forever.

Just like with Genesis, the best strategy was to not give him a chance to refuse. “Great! I gotta go, but I’ll see you later Sky!” He let go of Sky’s wrist and bolted before any denials could be offered, skidding back to where Kunsel was still half-hiding behind the bookshelf. His friend promptly smacked the back of his head. “What was that!” he hissed. Zack grinned at him and tapped his temple. “Strategy, my fine friend! Did you see any Names?” “I really hate that you got better results than anyone else so far.” “You did!” Zack was so excited he did some high-knees in place. “Well, well?” “Part of a Name,” Kunsel said. He deliberately paused until Zack was about to explode before he finally said, “A-I-R, and I’m pretty sure the other letter was an F.” Zack’s triumphant whoop promptly got them kicked out.
