Each hordeling is extension of its own sentience/mind

It is, to some degree, aware of each individual in its horde

If they’re trying to specially breed their own, there’s not much use for cross breeding with other Sleepless unless they were trying for the same specializations

The only way for the Sleepless to develop as they want to, they literally have to f*ck themselves

I have been thinking about the Dysian Aimians of The Stormlight Archive, and I find myself a bit confused about why certain Aimians, such as Arclo are referred to as “he”. Dysian Aimians are basically a walking colony of tiny insects/crustaceans, so wouldn’t it be more fitting to say “them”?

Perhaps it’s because the form Arclo chose to wear in Edgedancer resembled an old man.
