I just wanted to let you know that I adore and look forward to Witcher Wednesday. I have a tendency to not recognize that Wednesday exists (don't know what day I think it is, but never Wednesday) and your art is something I look forward to every week. And it helps me remember that Wednesday exists!

Just sending you a silly ask to let you know that for the first time ever, today I noticed that your icon is hands and a camera over a neckline with a necklace. For whatever reason, my brain has been interpreting that image as a dark colored dog snarling.

HA that’s funny. I can’t make out a dog in it, but I know I interpret other people’s icons as all kinds of wildly not-what-they-are sorts of things all the time, so I get it.

It is a self-portrait!

What’s funny is that it’s a camera I no longer own because I upgraded and sold it, and a necklace that perished in a house fire last year, and a dress I got too fat for, because that self-portrait is eight years old as of last February. Dang! But, I got a new version of the necklace as a gift, and the camera I upgraded to looks about the same, and I own several black dresses, so.

I took that photo expressly to use it as my Tumblr icon because none of my Livejournal ones would quite suit. And I’ve never changed it, because it never made sense to do so.

Oh, oh! Is it Regarding Jacob?

You nailed it on the head! #rj stands for Regarding Jacob, and these boys are about to have more than they can handle with Jacob going the way of Dean in that similar episode…

The woman merely cocked her head, emotionless as she withdrew her hand. Those cold blue eyes never flickered. “Looks like you need a lesson on who’s really in charge here,” she said calmly. “It was never Dean, bless his stubborn heart. He’s tried so many times to throw himself in my way. It’s never worked out for him.”

Muttering a few obscure words under her breath, the woman sketched an arcane symbol in the air. The blue in her eyes grew stronger and more forceful, chasing the shadows around them away. “What’s a few memories between friends?” she asked rhetorically, then plunged her hand through the air, a thumb planting on Jacob’s forehead. A spark of purple light spread from her thumb to his eyes.

The enchantment rippled from her words to his mind, taking seed and planting itself. As she withdrew her touch and stepped back, shadows rushing from the bushes to engulf her silhouette, all that could be seen as the magic took effect on Jacob was a purple reflection in his eyes, and even that was quenched.
