I think Hiruma might have a bit of an advantage, he likes to do a lot of research on his opponent beforehand. but man, if they were working together, that would be scary
Sorry, didn’t see this ‘til now.
Yes, I feel like Hiruma would put his blackmail network to good use collecting data on Kira. He could blackmail media reporters to change some criminals’ names or swap their pictures in the reports to see if they still died. And if they didn’t die, he’d make sure they were still reported dead so that Kira wouldn’t find out. He’d probably have access to police and FBI information too.
I’d say Hiruma’s disadvantage would be his penchant for taking huge risks and gambles. One mistake and it’d be all over. But if he had some help from say Mamori, she might hold him back from anything too crazy.
It would be very scary if they worked together, but I doubt it would happen. Light prefers to recruit simpleminded people who completely and utterly adore/worship him. And I like to think Hiruma would be bored to tears with killing people and controlling the world from the shadows. What’s the point of being a “god” if you can’t show off your big guns, right? And why use a notebook to kill criminals when you can just use a notebook to make them your slaves? And I feel like if they did team up, both would want to be in charge and neither would take orders from the other and whatever partnership would probably fall apart real quick leaving one or both of them dead.
