Movement Bonuses in Aion

Aion is one of the few games in which the moves you do actually contribute to your fight. This way the fights become more dynamic and since Aion is a game in which details really count you will want to use this to become a master in PvP.

I am sure that by now all of you saw those yellow arrows, those are the indicators of the movement bonuses, using those moves will give you a specific bonus but will also apply penalties.

Moving Forward:  Bonus: +10% Physical Damage +10% Magic Damage Penalty: -20% Physical Defense -20% Magic Damage  Moving Backwards: Bonus:  +500% to Parry +500% to Block  Penalty: -70% Physical Damage -40% Movement Speed Left and Right Strafe: Bonus: +300% to Evasion  Penalty: -70% Physical Damage -20% Movement Speed  This bonuses can come in handy when you are killing something PvP or PvE, for example when a boss use a special skill you can increase your chance to parry or block by moving backwards or strafe to have a higher chance to dodge it.

"Oh No! A Sorcerer! I'm going to get slept so hard, killed and they certainly won't call me in the morning!"

Try this! When fighting a sorc, the worst thing that can happen is letting them sleep you, cast all their delayed damage skills and have them blow you up with you’re being unable to do anything.

Solution:  When you run into a sorc, let your butt get big!  Aggro those mobs!  One timely smack from a wandering crestlich can mean your survival!  The mob hits you and knocks you out of sleep and you have a chance to defend yourself!  The sorc also gets their rhythm screwed up and has to recover.

Note:  Careful what you aggro.  If it’s going to be a mob that does as much damage to you as a sorc… try something smaller.  Don’t go grabbing an elite mage or one of those darn stunning ranger balaur in the Eye!

Also an anti-shock scroll when popped at the right time will prevent you from being thrown in the air for Aether Hold.  It’ll minimize the ouch of Storm Strike and other big spells.  Stock up!  They could save your bacon!

Need money? 

So you need money?  Have a lvl 65 alt with too much AP for its own good?  Turn it into kinah.

Go to your Panesterra owned fort and visit any camp owned by your faction.  Talk to the nice Supplement selling lady.  They will cost you a handful of AP.  Turn around and sell the supplements to the general merchant conveniently located behind you.  Only problem you'll have is running out early on the amount of kinah you can sell to a vender lol.

My silly darlings let me offer some advice if you'd like it.  This event is a goldmine.  If you are getting really great rewards that you can't use, don't sell them.  Hold them.  Right now things are selling for a fraction of what they will sell for now.

There are gold godstones selling for 1-5 mi.  Protectorate keys are selling for 5 mil in blue and 14 mil in gold last I looked.  These are going to VASTLY change in value.  

I know having fast money seems good but stop and think what your goals are.  If you need money now because the thing you want is going to be gone - go ahead and take the hit.

If you can wait even a week past the end of the event you'll be very glad you did.

In the meantime.  BUY.  If you HAVE some money, find things you'll want later.  Me?  I like dyes.  I'm buying dye bundles like a mad thing.  I'm buying keys because I'm working toward my mythic pvp stuff.  I'm buying godstones to sell LATER, tuning scrolls to sell LATER

The things I'm selling are things that have nothing to do with the event.  Skins, pots, 1 hour scrolls, manastones...

Take a moment to think what happens when a ton of people get a shiny new weapon.  They buy manastones and enchantment stones to pimp them out.  If you have those things - now is a good time to sell them because the next event might be stones lol.

I love Aion and am happy to still be playing it.  I have not QUITE been here all 5 years but 4+ years of really enjoying myself is something I wouldn't trade.
