Sweet Potato & Chicken Sausage.
Coconut Curry Sauce is a great way to jazz up ANY dish. Chicken, lamb, pork, fish, vegetables, even try with eggs. And this is an AIP recipe!
What’s your sign?
Last weekend I was listening to one of my favorite podcasts, Stuff You Should Know. I listen to them in 1.3-1.5 x normal speed so I can get through them faster. It’s a little chipmunky, but now listening to them on the normal setting makes them sound really slow – like they just suffered a head injury slow. Anyway, I find Chuck and Josh absolutely comical and enjoy their tangents almost as much as the content. I also dig Chuck’s man-giggle (I can’t be the only man-giggler).
The episode that I want to share with you was about horoscopes and astrology. Now, I don’t put a lot of stock in this – at all – but I do find it entertaining and know a number of people who do pay attention to what the stars are saying. ButI thought there were some really interesting points in this episode:
many ancient civilizations have had some form of astrology,
Babylonians, the guys who are responsible for the beginnings our current system of astrology actually observed 13 zodiac signs, but for some reason only included 12 in the calendar (probably because they had adopted a 12-month calendar so it fit nicely),
And this is probably the most shocking thing I learned:
NASA has recently updated the calendar to reflect where Earth is in reference to the astrological constellations in the sky. The result: the 13th sign was included and the dates are now different than the ones that we’ve always been told! So you may not actually be the zodiac sign that you thought you were!
Oh man! The identity crises that this is going to cause for so many people!
I am the exception to the rule! Me & Taylor Swift…
It turns out that not only am I not the sign that I thought I was, but I’m actually the 13th sign!!! It’s called Ophiuchus (ah-fee oo-kas), the “Serpent Bearer”. And since none of the papers I’ve ever seen have included Ophiuchus, my obvious conclusion is that I am the exception to the rule! (So is Taylor Swift, FYI.) Hey, it’s written in the stars.

I haven’t learned much about the mysterious 13th zodiac. But did read in a few places that doctors and healers are supposed to be associated with this sign. Hmmm…
For all my Ophiuchus brothers and sisters, welcome to the club. To all those who are now suffering from an identity crisis, I’m excited about the possibilities that the “new you” has in front of you! It’s the first day of the rest of your life!
Right. Back to the Coconut Curry Sauce AIP recipe. This is based on the Fenugreek Cream Curry that we made with lamb (to be totally honest, I slightly prefer the flavor of the fenugreek leaves). But Holley has been on an AIP diet which means that she couldn’t have it, sooooo… I adapted it to be an AIP recipe and violà: Coconut Curry Sauce AIP recipe.

I’m on mostly an AIP protocol and it’s recommended that I try Turmeric Tea.
Which contains ginger.
I detest ginger.
BUT IT’S SUPPOSED TO BE GOOD SO GOODBYE FRIENDS.
The things I do for love <3
