Morning

I woke up from a faded dream and everything around me was grey. I don't remember it being so dull and colorless the night before, but I'm not too worried. The colors always come back eventually. My chest feels weighed down, but I haven't done anything yet.

The blankets are warm, it feels like a cocoon. I could go back and wander my dreams, they were always more appealing than stepping out of my covers. I don't remember what I was doing in the night sky, but it was nice…

There's a low rumble that comes from outside, my lips curl up in a smile. I don't think it'll be warm outside but it'll be wild. Good.

But not yet.

I took a deep breath in, drawing the darkness in the room into the weight on my chest. My breath carries it out and it disappears in nothingness. I take in another breath, this time the grey tones in my room started slipping away. I stopped short and giggled, the thunder was rolling closer to my window. It was calling to me.

"Not yet."

I expel all the grey, the colors breathe again.

I roll onto my side, I hadn't noticed the little ticks of my clock right next to my ear. It was almost noon, again. My lips curl into a frown for a moment, but a sudden symphony of knocking at my window pushes it all away. I feel my chest swell up, but I hold it down along with another laugh.

"I already said, not yet."

One last breath before I go. The pleasant swelling in my heart grows and starts to glow, filling every inch of the body, I stretch my limbs out to help extend it to the tips of my fingers. I sigh relieved, and light comes through to fill every corner of the room.

Everything was warm now.

The thunder at my window was getting worse by the second. I figure I've stalled long enough and slipped out of bed so I can let them inside. I step up to the large windowpane and lift the curtain, there it was in all its impatient glory.

The sky was filled with rolling grey clouds, with sparks of lightning constantly pushing their limits to escape. Of course, the clouds would fight back. I could see the fury of the wind in the fields as it went around and about. And the thunder, it kept knocking on my window, waiting for me to let them in. It was the energy of a wild child, and always hungry for attention.

It hated when I'd tease, but still loved me the most.

I lift the pane and let the thunder roll in, it brought an entire orchestra wherever it went. It was beautiful, my heart felt at ease and ready to go. I breathe softly and close the window behind them.

Since Aries is my opposite sign (I'm a Libra, and Aries and Libra are six signs away from each other in the zodiac) I really think I could use some of that fire energy in my life right now!
