my very specific niche interest mentioning my other very specfic niche interest makes me feel things
I currently find myself in a pattern where people I'm close to get more in touch with the media I experience daily (such being politics, political theory, conflict stuff etc) and their respective response of that is 'this is miserable and not good for you you should stop interacting with so much (insert negative adjective)'.
Since it has been accumulating, I'm thinking to myself how I don't want to dull the entire situation with settling for the distinction of 'I understand for you it can be a lot of information and it is indeed unpleasant but I am keeping myself informed (and I'm only capable of doing that because I do a lot of social work so i am not just endlessly doomscrolling lol)'. There must be layers deeper about this other than subjectivity and individualism, so I wonder, what difference does it really make to either myself or the other person to witness such things constantly?
Because as much as those things are god-awful, the fact that I am engaged and doing different things and learning about the literal social sciences, what has worked and what hasn't, how to work as a collective and allow for alternatives from governmental and structural negligence... it does help making these situations not so.... imponent? In the sense that, for example, each situation could account for a bureocratic loop that should be taken into account when prosecuting, let's say, a racism crime.
(Yes I know racism is not officially a crime without bail everywhere but it should be)
Other than that, the people that have told me do have a fairly okay and privileged positions be it in regards to their color or where their financial situation allowed them to be (not starving, not having to be 100% responsible for someone else, not atm going through any major health issue, mostly struggling with societal problems in less direct/explicit means) and are not organized, which some people I know would just dismiss mostly. I am not them anyways. But that still doesn't go deeper

its brazil and japan playing today and i hope we are all in sync that despite brazil being an imperial country like japan, brazilian football not only is 5x world cup champion but signifies and stands for anti-racism and black history so intrinsic to its own. which means that if you are rooting for japan because you're an otaku or weeabo or whatever kindly perhaps. reconsider. also because of the ego i've witnessed from some japanese media

oh my god the kitty in demon hunters cant stop trying to put things standing because real life cats always drop things down. the kitty is always trying because like cats its nature is driven by instinct, no matter the morality we humans attach to things like dropping things=bad. this does not stop the kitty from having to comply to our random rules and etiquettes, which also nonetheless doesn't stop his doom loop of trying to fix things both as amusement and as a pattern. oh my god

everything is politics the same way everything is mathematics. the same way everything is physics, spirituality, logic, art. because its all lenses and semantics of which we connect and engage with each other and the world. try to exclude any one from the other. you can't.
