Doing Inktober this year for a competition at my college art club! I'm kinda combining different prompts list to make my own list but for yesterday I did goretober's "teeth" prompt.

I used my oc's Peppin and Val for this one. Hope you like ^^

Latest zuka (and non-zuka but Lady Musical stuff none the less) merch to arrive to my house.

I’ve been curious about OSK Revue ever since I heard they too produce DVDs. Just wasn’t ready to throw money on a show I didn’t know anything about and wasn’t sure I’d like. I was eyeing their Romeo&Juliet DVD, though (which is totes not trying to copy zuka’s RomiJuli style in its cover art...). I know it’s not the French musical, but at least it would have a story I know. But then this show came out and my choice was made. Haven’t watched it yet, but it’s vampires with an all female cast, so pretty much guaranteed success for Pellicano.

And look, Makaze got a CD with a collection of her songs from different musicals she’s done. I couldn’t read all of the songs’ names, so I started to look at the lyrics to see if I could read a word here and there and then guess what songs they had chosen before playing the CD itself. And then...

Finally remembered to post lmao. 

I tried a bunch of new techniques I thought of for shading and lighting and in general this was really fun to make. Especially the blush, shading the hair, and doing the lil highlights on the bow. Those were the best parts ^^. I was gonna do a full park background buuuut I couldn’t get the colors right, so I just edited a pic of clovers I took from my backyard. I figured because it was a darker green it’d bring out her eyes a bit better. 

OH! Should probably mention, this is for a comic series I’m making called: Aishiteiru. A yandere romance comic about two yanderes learning to have a healthy relationship together as their pasts start catching up to them.

Day 5 finished! ^^ so I did the kawaiitober prompt "cake" but I obviously put my own spin on it again. Mainly cause my oc Peppin is a butcher and uses it to kill anyone she deems a threat to her and Val's relationship.

I definitely messed up some perspective parts but perspectives hard anyways. Especially traditionally tbh. But I still like this drawing a lot either way! ^^

Back from the dead to post again!

So it’s been like a year??? A lots happened since then, I’ve graduated highschool and I’m in college now as a psych major. Its really time cosuming but I really like college so far ^^. 

But anyways I redesigned Peppin like a couple months ago and I’ve been able to make enough time for drawing that I decided to post again! If you’ve seen my old version of her theres been a few changes but I think its for the better. I want to explain the changes and why I made them because I think talking about art process is interesting ^^.

I changed her from grey skin to her natural skin color because I wanted to distance her from her original purpose which was a fandom related oc to the yandere game: Your Boyfriend. She is of course part of my comic series I am still developing “Ashiteiru.” This is also why I changed her bow. Her bow now has a plush heart broach in the knot section because in Ashiteiru, heart symbols are used for a yandere organization to symbolize they are apart of the group. While common members tend to share a symbol, significant members within the group have their own distinguishable symbols. Peppin’s father (who will be posted about later) is not only a signifcant part of the group but has been there since a little after it was established and by proxy she is considered a significant member of the group even if she isn’t an active one. 

I also changed her hair and (somewhat) facial features mainly because I wanted to make her hair more representative to who she is: someone who is mixed (African American/Japanese American.) When I first created her I wasn’t fully sure how to balance both sides of that part of her identity in her appearance and I made mistakes because of that. But I decided to give her 4C hair and monolids instead of double eyelids. I might change her hair in the future mainly because I keep seeing afro puffs with beaded braids on the side and I think it actually might be more characteristic of Peppin than having mainly unstyled hair. Plus I think its a really cute hairstyle. 

There will be more content tho! I am working on a map for the general area Peppin, her roomate, and love interest live in. When I am done I will post that and I do have a few other things I am planning to post when I am done.
