Just curious, what got you into the trauma center series? I was introduced through the game grumps playthrough of under the knife second opinion.
I got into it thanks to my older brother, L'arc. =) I actually answered this question before but to give the short version, I had heard about it, was unsure since I'm a squeamish person, he got us a copy of New Blood to play together and I fell in love. (If you want the detailed version see this post.
I'll also mention it was thanks to discovering I did meet my best friend and sister and co-writer on this series, Storm Arashi. Needless to say this franchise means a lot to me. <3 Hence my dedication to making this manga series.
Here's all the things I drew for Art Fight. Considering I joined in on the tail end of the event, I think I managed quite a bit. Featured characters belong to @aishutoon, @nintendonut1, @vineuioe, @missd476, and @lemmykirby.
I had fun drawing all of your characters, and I think I may take part in next year's event. Probably joining sooner into it next time.
For the ability asks, the dragon fire ability from Kirby the forgotten land?
Andd last one!
How persona characters awaken their personas
Persona 3: Shooting themselves in the head
Persona 4: Facing and accepting the deepest, darkest part of yourself
Persona 5: Ripping a mask off their face. Painfully.
Wk persona au: ….Activating a power suit?
(Jokes aside, how did the bros discover their personas?)
ASDGKJHADSKGJ its a little more than that dw
so! the activation suits are technology native to the shadow world, similar to the glasses in p4. they're first and foremost used as a sort of "repelling" agent against the shadows occupying the dimension, allowing the wearer to take "damage" against a hostile shadow rather than just like. outright dying from a single hit (so ig in game mechanics terms it'd be the thing that allows the party to have health bars rather than reacting to injuries the way they would in the real world). that being said, activation suits start out in their dormant form by default and don't receive their signature glow until the wearer's persona is awakened.
the way an individual awakens their persona is to allow themselves to be vulnerable to whatever is haunting them. the process is a little different for everyone, but essentially it's the display of the emotional strength needed to overcome one's regrets that causes the activation suit to react to the person wearing it. once that happens, the wearer will be able to use the activation suit to "transform" into their true self (their persona!)
it's a little fucked up though cause like. activating your persona is quite literally baring your soul to the world around you. in order for a persona to manifest, the activation suit will basically separate this projection of your true self from your physical body, so a transformation process looks a lil something like this:
the bros are a little bit of a unique case (aka protagonist/plot convenience syndrome SDJKGHSDJKGH) cause their personas awakened without the need to overcome any kind of personal hauntings (for now); rather, theirs awakened to their need/wish to make sure they and the girls got home safe from the first time they entered the shadow world :]
Hey Susie, what was it like reuniting with your brother when you came back? (Btw op I love the new oc, he’s so cool!)
Just curious, what does Delphi’s symbol represent? It kinda looks like a seashell or the heart of Te Fiti from Moana…
Excellent question!
So as for the origins of the symbol, it's based off a necklace we see in game on one of Delphi's members.
This necklace was exclusive to Second Opinion and I thought it would be nice to expand on it more to have it be the official symbol of the group. (And I have all members of Delphi wearing it.)
As for what it stands for... well, the game never really gave an explanation for why the pendant looks the way it does. So, what you're about to read is how we spun it.
The swirl patterns we went with represent snakes. Though, unlike the Rod of Asclepius or the Caduceus emblem, the snakes are curled here and are dead. Delpi's main ideology is centered around the concept of wanting to lead "natural" lives through finally achieving death and doing away with medicine entirely. Basically, entering a state of blissful rest.
The center snake is representative of their leader, Lord Adam. (He was mentioned briefly during Chapter 11 so I have no issue mentioning him here.) The one who will lead them to that blissful slumber.
Then the 7 snakes around it, represent the GUILT strains. There's also another thing they stand for but can't reveal till later because spoilers. (Though, those who have played the games, you might already know.)
And that's it.
Apologies for not getting to some questions sooner been tied up in work. XD I have time now so expect some to be answered now. We thank you for your patience.
Your persona au sounds so cool, I love it! What would the bosses be like? Would they be shadows based on people like in persona 4 and 5? Who would the final boss be?
aa ty!! :D the shadows in this au are actually based on animals, although i guess they'd be like. corrupted versions of them? jovian explains to the crew that a lot of the "guiding spirits" (other shadows) in his world actually looked a lot like him, but after aviva's invention messed with the ley lines, many of them took on a more eldritch appearance and turned hostile.
that being said, fighting and destroying a corrupted shadow doesn't "kill" them, moreso returns them to their original state. all the shadows that the crew manages to help return to animal junction where they were originally from :]
as for a final boss, i'm still deciding, but once i figure it out i'll post it :p
