this is an aita type thing...
some context first. i work at a pet boarding facility. i also have limb girdle muscular dystrophy, i can only walk short distances and i cant do really any tasks requiring my arms to be at or above eye level.
anyway, so we have these baskets that hang on the front of the kennels, where each dog's food goes. i have a coworker who is significantly taller than me, and he awlays puts each basket up so that it is higher than my eye level, no matter how many times i ask him to put them lower so i can actually do anything with them. when i move them or hang new ones lower, he complains that it hurts his back to bend down to them. we are both young, early 20s, so if his reason for not bending down to them is medical, i dont wanna go against that, and now i feel bad for having to move them to reach them, even though i cannot measure out food for the dogs if the basket is high. idk, this feels complicated, since clearly we need things in opposite directions, and i cant have them high and he either cant or just doesnt want to have them low, and i dont know what that is.
so am i being selfish here?
um , advice welcome too i guess :3

This might just be one of those unfortunate situations where disability accommodations conflict. It's no one's fault, and neither of you are assholes for needing opposing accommodations. I know how frustrating it is to be in these types of situations ): I recommend talking with this coworker, see if y'all can't figure out a reasonable compromise. And if y'all can't, for whatever reason(s), it might be a good idea to explore working different shifts.
