hows the relationship stat function and are any of the events ingame like rn in the demo? i want an aiza (and ive my own theories on their relation to Link like idk being engaged or smth??)

The relationship stat is mostly symbolic, as the relationship events and affection checks cover most of the situations, but well, a single relationship point is worth 10 affection points so they are not entirely useless to have. They allow one to mess up more.

However, I haven't added much of these checks and scene variations yet, so don't worry about it for now.

And yes, Inaya's 1st and 2nd, Firuz/Firuzeh's 1st, and Aiza's 2nd relationship events are in the game. Aiza's 2nd is unlocked at the start of chapter 6 if you select her Durin the time skip.

I don't like contradicting people's theories, but this seems like a major one so I will elaborate. While Link and Aiza's relationship is complicated (not romantically), they are not engaged nor hold any romantic feelings towards each other, but well, you can head canon if you want (?). Link himself will elaborate more on this at the end of Key to Heaven if you are on his route.

Some peculiarities in her behavior during the ceremony are are explained in her 4th (and I think it connects pretty nicely), but that's not written yet so you will have to wait for it if you wish to find out.

Ah yes, this is an Easter Egg which appears if you pick a specific choice on her route in chapter 4, but this is supposed to go away on the next page, but I reckon I forgot to implement the check, so yeah... Apologies I will fix it later.

Anyhow, to give a small update to everyone, my 1 week writing break is over and I will now proceed with simultaneously writing the Lord's Summit and Link's 2nd relationship event. I will also slowly start writing the scenes I left out, as leaving those for the last never works out.

Yup! A few but here's one of my favorites.

She doesn't have an offical name, I never really needed to give her one. I referred to her once as Scrubjay so her reference is Scrubs.

Sooooo she spends her time being grumpy and hating her girlfriend. It's like an enemies-to-enemies thing and they do often try to kill each other. She's a religious zealot who worships an entity I intentionally never named but Scrubs refers to as 'The Goddess'. Scrubs herself is rageful, lashes out often, and vicious. See that shield thing on her arm? It's more often used as a punching weapon than a shield.

Her girlfriend (who I did name and her name is Aiza) does not hate scrubs and thinks its cute that scrubs attempts to murder her a lot. Scrubs is a better fighter than Aiza and is usually the instigator but Scrubs never does kill her cause they're technically working together to fight a tyrannical kingdom. Aiza Rants a lot about random things like bugs and local fauna and against her better judgement Scrubs likes listening to her.

Other than that, she's really protective of her sword and doesn't like taking her helmet off. She doesn't mind taking off her armor and tunics as much which is great cause blood gets there a lot and Aiza gets to very respectfully stare.
