. The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown Rating : 5⭐ Mind blowing! I have never cried over a mystery/thriller book but reading the second last chapter spilled my tears knowing the truth. This book is full of suspense and action-packed. I love the complexity of the story, theres so many puzzles to be solved, concealed truth to be unveiled and questions to be answered while reading. I wonder what took me so long to pick this up! I am totally absorbed and it takes an open minded person to read this and to remember it is just fiction. I am in love with the main character Sophie and Robert. Both are smart, lovely, respectful and adventurous, but at the same time, naive. The story building is great, writing style wise is excellent and  steady-paced. The element of surprise at the end is beautifully written. Synopsis : While in Paris, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is awakened by a phone call in the dead of the night. The elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered inside the museum, his body covered in baffling symbols. As Langdon and gifted French cryptologist Sophie Neveu sort through the bizarre riddles, they are stunned to discover a trail of clues hidden in the works of Leonardo da Vinci—clues visible for all to see and yet ingeniously disguised by the painter. . Reflections of A Man by @mr.amarisoul Publisher : @blackcastlemediagroupinc Rating : 4⭐ As I am reading this book, I was wondering how could a man known almost every thoughts of women. His understanding of a woman emotional needs is mind-blowing! The writings are very good, inspirational, beautiful and constructive. If I carry on writing this review, the only thing I would type is "beautiful". But I do have some critics on this (link in bio) Q : How old are you when you first had a special relationship? . Horrifying but sweet, gruesome but beautiful story of Zebulon Aaaron Finch, a rich 17 years old teenager raised perfectly fine by his mother but chosen a different path of life because in my opinion, he’s just plain ignorant. But he sure did learnt his lessons after he was shot down by the shore of Lake Michigan, got mysteriously resurrected to live the rest of his life as a corpse. He does not eat & drink, does not sleep, bleed & breath, but he have feelings. He stays 17 years old though he lives a decade. He fell in love, became a thug, does odd jobs, went to a different countries, fight in the World War 1, became a movie extra, got involved up by the most controversional woman in Hollywood, became an astronaut, joined the Nazi, become a cult leader. He does EVERYTHING and that is why it makes it irresistable to continue reading! It took a lot of patience reading this duology not just because both of them are 1413 pages, but the way he talks, oh boy, there is nothing decent coming out from his mouth. As a mother myself, I feel like stuffing chillis in his mouth 😂. I love how the Author engaged the main character with us, the reader. He acknowledge our existence. He tells us story though in the first chapter he admitted that he was being synical calling us "Dear Reader" but as he tell his story, he became connected to us. Besides enjoyment, I had learnt something from this duology but I just dont know how to put it into words. I hope someday, this would be turn into a movie. Would love to watch it and would love to read more if there is another volume. . Have you ever thought of yourself going through depressions? Or you just don't realise them yet? . Its impressive when most of Rachel's writings are similar to what I've been through especially after giving birth. I thought its just the baby blue symtomps that I am having. But it is more than that and I am thankful I only have a mild one & continuously trying to get better. . Following her suggestion to get myself analised through a website is a game changer. I've been receiving emails from the team members every single day & I love going through them in the evening. I'm still a mess in the morning as my anxiety is on its highest level. . About sleeping disorder/ insomnia, I still have them once in a while as I went through this book. I've jot down a couple of general tips about combating insomnia & anxiety which is : 1. Stop being anxious about sleep itself. Start believing that in due course I would get the sleep I needed, though it might not always be conveniently at night & I needed to arrange my life as far as I could to make this possible. If i was awake at night, make it feel normal opposed to frightening & remind myself that I wasn't alone. 2. Being compassionate to myself is sometimes enough. When I'm sufficiently calm, I can then try to change the narrative of my thoughts. . Researchs found that highly sensetive children who seem to feel things more deeply than their peers may prove more vulnerable to depressions as adults. Knowing this, I would do my best to keep my children live more in their presents & just be happy, give them more opportunities to have choices, be able to let their feelings out more open & give them more time to overcome their negative feelings on their on. . Theres so much I want to share & review about this book but as far as I've written, I think It is about enough & I suggest you read them yourselves. .
