hello!! i was lucky enough to be able to partcipate last minute in aizobachi! i did the background for the shot at 1:00 alongside chihiiko's animation! this was my first ever background and i did it within 3-4 hours (so stressful do not reccomend) but i'm proud of myself for comitting to the task! congratulations to everyone who worked on this! i truly love kagurabachi.

I'm happy to say that I was an animator for this break week's AIZOBACHI project!

I animated/illustrated 7 shots, provided background assistance for 3, and created storyboards for 4! It was quite a lot of effort but it was all very worth it in the end. And I'm so happy everything was able to come out as well as it did! If another opportunity like this were to come, I'd take it in a heartbeat!

The very first proposals for my shots...

My thumbnail sheet for the shots I worked on myself! I kept having to extend the canvas to fit more in!

Said storyboards that I was asked to create. The artists that took them on absolutely blew me away with how they were able to translate everything into their own styles. I'm so proud.

Hakuri and Tenri, and Ibuki and Natsuki. The painting of Hakuri and Tenri was the first still image I made, and I went on to incorporate a lot of the techniques I used for it into my future scenes.

Some backgrounds I created for one of the scenes. I was very conscious about the trees being lost in the hard shadows of the building, which is def something I plan to work on in the future. But in a meantime you get to see the first sketch I sent! The composition was planned out for me, so I won't take all the credit! I really enjoyed using a thick ink brush to create the natural details of both backgrounds. I think next time I try something like that, I'll apply that kind of linework to both the nature and the architecture.

Other backgrounds (3rd was an assist, the rest are for my own shots) mainly because they went by so quickly, when there's a lot of detail that went into them! I want you all to appreciate it properly! I also had a blast working with clouds, if you couldn't tell.

Once again, I'm so so grateful to be involved in a project on a scale such as this! For my first collab I don't think I did half bad! I hope the basement can keep opening its doors to more aspiring artists and keep reminding us what it means for Kagurabachi to have a community!
