This week I impulsively decided to take up nalbinding, so obviously the first step was to make some needles for it. The one on the left is made of canary, and the right is pao ferro. Both were made using a hand planer, chisels, drill for the hole and a healthy course of sand paper.
First attempts at actual nalbinding have been fun and looked terrible, I've got the Oslo stitch down but am really struggling with tension. As a flunked knitter I like that this form is more freestyle and unlikely to unravel on me.
