(Tumblr is being a bitch and not letting me add the pics so they are in links with the piece name)
So! My favourite thing about this one is how powerful each one looks in this! We know that Dazai and Chuuya are strong on their own, but together, they complement each other and become even more powerful!Usually you can’t just clump two powerful people together in a working dynamic, one will always try to dominate the other. But with skk, they stand as equals, and I feel that this picture personally conveys that beautifully.
Ok Dazai is looking at Chuuya so softly that it makes me feel like having a soul again, and Chuuya is giving the chocolates in such a casual manner, as if there is no need for it, like it’s a cheap token of love. Here I see a couple which has gone past its “fire-y passionate” state, and has settled into a warm, soothing hearth, their outward expressions of love not being grand. But, little tokens of appreciation to show that the relationships is for the long-haul.
OK C’MON Y’ALL THIS IS SO SO SOFT! THE WAY CHUUYA HAS DAZAI IN HIS ARMS! HOW RESTFUL DAZAI SEEMS IN THIS PIC, LIKE HE’S WITH SOMEONE HE CAN TRUST! And Chuuya looking at us like we’re intruding on a private moment just makes it all better. And the addition of red camellias makes me go 👀👀👀👀👀 cause those flowers are known to symbolise passion and desire! Nuff said!
Ok apart from the fact that they are barely a foot apart, I can’t help but notice the flowers. As you can see from the previous description, or if you have read any of my fics, the symbolism of flowers is one of my favourite things. Chuuya is lying mostly on a bed of white roses, which symbolise pure love, while Dazai is lying on a bed of dark red roses, which represents intense feelings, and unconscious beauty, while having an aura of mystery around them. I can notice a tinge of black on the roses, which can represent mourning or sadness. Perhaps it represents Dazai’s loss of Odasaku, or it can represent circumstances working against skk from being together such as their allegiance and other things. These flowers are usually associated with romantic love too.And if this doesn’t describe each of them I don’t know what would
