The problem is, he's a dragon, so if he wears shoes, would it be on all fours or just the two little legs? Would the tail be covered by the pants? Assuming he's bipedal...BUT THEN we also know the actual dragon looks, where they DON'T have legs! So would it be a long sock for pants??
The questions....the answers...we know he can wear clothes, but where are the limits?
"Ajaw... would you wear pants or a sock?"
"Nyahhahah! You foolish king! you've really let yourself go and have allowed the humans around here to convince you that we need clothes! we have scales for a reason, my liege- by the thirteen, you've regressed and not in a good way." Ajaw floats above you for a moment, his digital face morphing into one of annoyance as he continues to hear you chatter on "-and Little?! You know full well what i used to look like before they imprisoned me! neither of those choices would fit me"
when you sheepishly tell him you didn't; still unsure about his true form. he guffaws, waving his arms and leg stumps. "dont tell me! the humans are absorbing your intelligence too?! Dragons don't wear clothes."
you ask him if he remembers what he looked like... He turns his head and stamps his feet in the air "Ughh! Leave me alone with your stupid questions!"
I really hope Ajaws' proper dragon form looks close to a Yumkisaur version of the Dragon race we met in natlan, although Naga/Wyvern traits are just as cool a design feature even though we have that digital silhouette that makes him look like a Dragonite.
If we're talking about clothing that accommodates tails, though, i have many different ways for that as a DnD Dragonborn veteran, normally I'd use a wrap or sleeve and armour plates, then for casual outfit is a cloth and a bunch of knots on a rop to make folds similar in well-known methods in roman tunic techniques to create slits for the tail or to tactfully cover human giblets if they have human giblets. I need to explore the moon more so i can get more of a feel about the type of jewellery im going to add to his design
putting him in a sock would be mean [funny] and cruel [deserved]. but i imagine if you gave him wheelies, he'd be shoving those claws in whether it fits or not and deal with the pain for the coolness factor.
I like the idea that the thirteen lords all put their own personal touches to their tunics but keep the uniform semi consistent. After the AI forms were made, I see them playing around with how they'd look like in different disguises [this plays on the character select screen from Kinich's trailer where we see different versions of him including a human design.]
I bring up the last one cause I wanna draw the meme prompt "Ah yes. Me. My Girlfriend. And her 500 dollar four foot tall mareep" but both part one and two of that meme (the second part of the meme being "Sometimes a family can just be a boy, his gf, and 500 dollar four foot tall mareep")
I just haven't decided on the reptile because I can't decide between the small version of Ajaw or the ultimate version of Ajaw. But I promise if you do choose, I will show you the art of the result.
Hello, hello again K.C Anon! I can answer you really quickly on this with my personal favourite reptilian for Ajaw, called;
The Knight Anole
[Here] is a link to a website where i get my animal species from whenever I do hybrid analysis and want specific names for characters
It's a reptile native to Cuba that is naturally green with yellow stripes. Another little fact is that they sometimes eat fruit [Ajaw liking fruit juice]. Keeping one of them is hard because they do not like cold and are tempermental about the environment they choose to live in. They're also semi-socially dependent, so imagining 13 of these guys is not hard [Though I doubt Kinich would willingly have 13 of these things in his scroungy apartment lol.]
The common name of its genus also kind of feels like it pays tribute to Ajaw and his lore [-ish, I'm really extrapolating with that one] in the sense of being a relegated to a common lizard genus.
They can also get pretty big from what I've seen online. \/ The image below is from the link i included at the top
Also, the thought of Wriothesley being introduced to Ajaw and Ajaw immediately does not like him because of how physically cold that man is, is a hilarious thought.
