february writing update!

if you havent seen it, i posted an occtis x kattigan fic a few days ago! (nsfw warning):

this was my first time writing and posting proper smut and i think it turned out pretty good! im going to write a lot more of these two so look out for that

as for future updates: with fanfiction i prefer to write longer, multi chapter, plot heavy fics and work on them a lot before posting. that means that while it might seem like im not writing or updating anything, i am probably working on at least five different projects and in like two or three months, ill probably post a bunch of works all around the same time lol

that being said, here are a few snippets from projects im currently working on:

i've decided im going to start making these update posts monthly in case anyone is wondering about my progress/awaiting specific works. it also helps me to stay on task LOL!

new: occtis x kattigan fic on my ao3 !

Occtis turned his face, cheek pressing against the rough, calloused hand that was cupping it. He was standing somewhat backed against a wall, but he did not feel cornered. 

No, despite Kattigan Vale’s large frame and boisterous attitude when they had first met, he had shown he was capable of gentleness since rejoining them on the road. But that didn’t stop Occtis from noting the absence of a rise in body heat where there should be, as Kattigan’s other hand hovered just shy of his waist. 

It was a few weeks after Thimble, Occtis’s old friend, and Kattigan, a war veteran turned rogue bounty hunter, had stumbled into their wandering band in the woods. It had been wonderful to see Thimble again – a bright star in the mire of his un–life. Kattigan, however, had all but ignored him for the first few days. 

At first, it hadn’t bothered Occtis at all. They all had bigger issues to worry about (Occtis was still ducking behind walls to expel un-digested food after every meal he managed to choke down, for Shapers’ sake). However, as they went on to travel together, evading evil family members and undead scouts, Occtis found that he was butting heads with Kattigan more than not. Genuine complaining soon became teasing taunts, which only grew rowdier until that night. 

That night, they were staying in a country home under the protection of Lady Marene, a noblewoman that Aranessa had known as a child. On the way upstairs to their individual bedrooms, Occtis had thrown out a comment about that day’s physical conflict, meant to provoke, which Kattigan predictably rebutted. Teasing, thrown back and forth, had somehow turned into tender conversation, which had somehow ended up here.
