Welcome back Emma!! God, every time I saw one of those posts I got angry and sent at least three emails to Staff. I'm so glad you got this blog back rather than having to restart on the new one. I hope to see you here for years to come!!

Honestly, I think it was due to the sheer force of you lovely, lovely people who e-mailed on my behalf that got their attention finally! So, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I feel like I am being dramatic in a lot of ways with how thankful I am to get this blog back but it’s such a huge part of my life and I honestly am just that happy and relieved, so thank you!

yesterday March and forever please?

yesterday: favourite way to write angst?

With a happy ending. XD

Seriously, most angsty stuff you see from me will be in the realm of seemingly unrequited pining (so many of my favorite characters have insecurity issues that makes this one delightfully ouchy) or emotional hurt/comfort with the characters dealing with things that actually happened in canon. So stuff like Derek struggling on Laura’s birthday or Keith dealing with Shiro going missing (again).

One fic I’m not sure I’ll write, but I like the idea of, came from watching the episode of Tidying Up where Marie Kondo helps a woman whose husband passed away about nine months before. I mentioned to one of my angst-loving friends that I kind of wanted a story where Kotetsu has to get his apartment ready for Barnaby to move in with him (or for him to move into Barnaby’s) and he has to go through all of Tomoe’s old things that he packed away and hasn’t bothered dealing with for almost 10 years. She yelled at me for it. XD

march: do you listen to music whilst writing?

I do, although mostly just when I’m writing longer works. It helps me focus. I just have to make sure the music fits with what I’m writing. Like, for the Princess Mononoke AU I ended up downloading the Princess Mononoke score and listening to that on repeat the entire time I was writing.

forever: do you balance fic writing with original concept stuff?

I’m trying to. XD NaNo last year was the first time since 2012 that I wrote a wholly original work rather than working on fic for any part of my word count. Admittedly, I haven’t picked that particular novel back up (because of holidays and Life Stuff that’s happened since then) but I really do want to get back to working on it and finish the first draft.
