Extremely proud of this. As per usual with pieces that have a background, I just kind of threw bullshit at the wall when it was time for rendering. The layers on this are foul.

I don't enjoy the full fledged rendered look on my art that much, and here it's a whole party with wet surfaces and sunlight all screaming into your cornea, but it's very cool to know that I can do something like this!!

Having a direct reference helped A LOT with getting over me being scared to draw backgrounds, but I'm still not sure if I can pull them off without one this specific.

8. common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about

I feel like this has to be the common belief of “ozai is useless”

in my like, personal opinion, Ozai is not essentially useless. People like to bring up how Ozai literally had zero accomplishments and just did nothing during the entire series, as if he wasn’t literally running a nation during the duration of it. He also oversaw a vast growth of industrialization and technological improvements ( i.e. the drill, tundra tanks, the weaponization of the war balloons )

going on a rant here sfhdbsvf. he’s not useless guys 💔
