This idea was something that was marinating in my notes for a few years now, and @appalesbian had a similar concept she had been eager to write about. So, we combined our powers!

The basic setup is that Dulcie moved in with Minerva (Sextus) and Camilla a couple years ago, but with much trepidation and strictly platonically, and then a few months ago Pyrrha started dating Min and moved in, and Dulcie feels more comfortable forming a romantic/physical with Pyrrha because she doesn't think of Pyrrha as someone who's trying to fix/rescue her at all, they don't have all the tangled history, and Pyrrha doesn't have youth that Dulcie could take from her even if she wanted to and is seemingly used to tragic loves. It's really a Dulcie/Pyrrha/Min fic but that's just the working title because they're the impetus for the fic, it gets complicated because Pyrrha quickly does really love Dulcie and also she doesn't like seeing Dulcie (from her perspective) waste time denying herself. I have very little written for it but I basically know how I want it to go

Putting this under the cut because I blabbed too much
I think this will just have to be one long oneshot or maybe broken into a few chapters because it’s not nearly serious enough to be a full story.
So far the idea is that Varrick, Zhu Li, Wu and Asami somehow get roped into one of Varricks business ventures: paranormal investigation. How’d they get roped into it mostly against their will? Idk details to be decided blah blah blah. Probably some weirdass sponsor scheme on varricks part.
everything takes place in the modern day, modern world. Varrick is from New Jersey because that feels right to me. Asami is from California, and wu…. I’m honestly not sure about him yet.
eventually asami and Wu begrudgingly meet with Varrick somewhere down south, where Varrick plans to continue his series of paranormal investigations. I think st. Augustine would be a good place to start because it’s (cool asf) the oldest city in the country and whatnot. They have plenty of ghost stories and you know Varrick is going to exploit that.
Asami and Wu are supposed to be big name guests on varricks show. The problem is that a) Asami does not want to waste her time looking for overhyped ghosts (she’ll change her mind don’t worry) and b) Wu does NOT want to be monster hunting are you kidding?? They’re looking for ghosts?? For MONSTERS in the SWAMP??? That is not his scene and he’s (curious but) shaking in his boots and clinging to Asami half the time. Which. Asami does not appreciate
they end up traveling to more spooky places in Florida (self!!!! Indulgent!,!!!!) when they catch word of an alligator man that supposedly lives in the general area.
so. Do you know about Jake the alligator man LMAO if not go look it up. the crew ends up hearing that a half man, half gator creature lives in the swamp. All the rumors say that it has white scales and bright white eyes, is horrible looking, and has reportedly dragged people down into the water to massacre them.
this is the story of Korra. And she’s pissed that everyone keeps mentioning Jake the alligator man because that is not her!!!! He’s not even real!!! She’s not even actually half gator damnit.
At some point Asami has a freak solo encounter with korra in the middle of the night. They both get spooked to bits and dart off. In the morning everyone at camp is talking about an incredibly rare wild albino gator, which Wu points to as it sunbathes on the bank. And that has to be it right? That’s what asami saw last night?? Right?
WRONG because Asami just. Keeps. Seeing. This beast!! No one else has seen it and she starts to wonder just wtf is going on. The story continues as such and Asami and Korra start to get to know each other (Asami finds out that yeah, that’s definitely not just a gator. She looks more human than anything. And she can talk!!) and Asami is definitely a little ashamed to admit, just to herself, that Korra is devastatingly good looking, even considering her huge tail and the spines on her back.
and to make matters worse Asami’s pretty sure she keeps seeing fairies. At least Wu is seeing them too, so Asami isn’t totally imagining them.
I do have more thoughts and some more details on this whole thing so if anyone wants to hear em hit me up! This ask has honestly renewed my love for this idea so thank you my friend!!

I feel like this has to be the common belief of “ozai is useless”
in my like, personal opinion, Ozai is not essentially useless. People like to bring up how Ozai literally had zero accomplishments and just did nothing during the entire series, as if he wasn’t literally running a nation during the duration of it. He also oversaw a vast growth of industrialization and technological improvements ( i.e. the drill, tundra tanks, the weaponization of the war balloons )
going on a rant here sfhdbsvf. he’s not useless guys 💔
