Imagine how happy akaashi must have been when tsukishima not only didn’t hate bokuto, but actually respected and kind of liked him. Bokuto is a bit… much… and I can see how he can grate on certain people, especially the quiet ones. My theory is that akaashi took a while to warm up to bokuto himself so he knows what kind of impression bokuto makes on people like him. When the third gym crew first meets tsukishima, akaashi apologizes for bokuto and is careful to not push tsukishima. I headcanon that he was actually pretty sure tsukishima would lose his patience with bokuto like a lot of others do. At the very least he was expecting tsukishima to walk away and never return. But tsukishima, while he was definitely annoyed by bokuto, actually respected bokuto’s skills and his opinion enough to seek him out for personal advice, which I imagine bokuto found pretty flattering. Also, for all that he pretends he doesn’t care, tsukishima’s pretty principled. He probably stayed all the way through every extra practice because gdi he’s agreed to participate and like hell he’s going to back out now, and I doubt he talked shit behind bokuto’s back past the customary 'he's so loud'. Imagine how happy that made the fukurodani pair: a blocker who isn’t kuroo, who doesn’t shirk away from the idea of practice with bokuto, and who doesn’t seem to actually dislike bokuto despite their clashing personalities. Bokuto’s a people person–he likes to be liked–so someone he’d just met actually wanting to practice with him is super uplifting. And akaashi watches out for bokuto so he would’ve felt happy about it too. Ofc tsukishima wasn’t doing any of that with the clear intention of making bokuto happy but I imagine akaashi was grateful all the same. Headcanon that that’s why akaashi warmed up to tsukishima so much so quickly that he set aside time to teach him a time difference attack.

Bokuakakurotsuki. Would be a disaster. I mean, ofc kuroo and bokuto would be terrible but consider the other two. Tsukki isn’t exactly a shit starter but he plays for karasuno in the same year as hinata and kageyama. He’s not exactly a shit ender either. He’s seen so much shit that he just goes with it now, probably even enjoys it sometimes. He’s just like ok whatever this is a terrible idea but it can’t be worse than when nishinoya-san tryied to fuse with azumane-san in an attempt to make him ‘grow a pair’, let’s do it (“But tsukishima, they could die?” “Well then, akaashi-san, at least it’d be quiet u need to take what you can get sometimes.”) And akaashi. Oh boy. Akaashi is so hella competitive and contrary. He’s fine until kuroo or bokuto dares him to do something. Once the words ‘i dare you’ or ‘i bet you can’t’ leave their mouths, all bets are off. Akaashi is no longer in the building, come back later. And look if akaashi caved, tsukishima’s gonna. Tbh they can probably get tsukki with the same trick about 45% of the time, but it works on akaashi 110% of the time. It would just be awful.
