I have an irresistible urge to talk about akasuga because I was thinking about them whole day (oh these AUs infesting my mind and oh this zero level energy how do I live)

So here are some of my headcanons about them and their life ٩( ᐛ )و:

Bad habits:

Akaashi would drink (wine is his bitch) and Suga would smoke (he is not happy about it but he is too stressed)

It’s not fixed for every story, I prefer them healthy, but if they have any that’s it.

Pets:

Akaashi has a cat and she is a character on her own. It’s a tortoiseshell cat, her fur is soo fluffy while her personality is not >.< I only recently came up with a name and it’s Yosano-san in honour of Yosano Akiko (I headcanon her to be Akaashi’s favourite poetess). Akaashi’s mother calls a cat by “Akiko” though because this is how you normally would address a cat…

Sugawara doesn’t have pets because his mom is allergic, but if he could he would go for birds and never for hamsters because he would hate seeing poor thing die

Family:

Akaashi’s mother is single, father is absent. She works a lot, especially at nights, that’s why Akaashi takes care of house and is good at cooking. Also he studies a lot for scholarships to spare his mother a financial burden. They are in a good relationships (she knows that he is gay and supports him), but Akaashi is used to keep his problems to himself so it is hard for her to reach him.

(Somehow Akaashi’s cat has a name and mother still doesn’t heeelp)

Sugawara has both parents and a little brother (whom I forget exists for like 50% of time sorry bro), so this is canon. My headcanon is that his relationship with mother is complicated in terms of expectations/obligations of the elder son. He loves her of course, but the thought of coming out dreads him and inflicts a sharp wave of shame. His father is constantly in business trips that’s why he is not a very strong figure for Sugawara even though they were close when he was a kid.

Dietary habits:

Akaashi is a vegetarian. (I’ve seen this headcanon here on tumblr and omg, I tried to resist but it’s sooo hiiiim). Maybe he was eating meat while in high-school but later he rebuilt his diet, turned vegan even. He likes to cook, but he doesn’t eat much, so he likes it when there is someone to cook for (even meat) and most of the time does not cook for himself (he is also too overworked to do this).

Sugawara likes everything that is tasty and if he goes for a steak it will be rare (ok, medium rare max). He should watch his diet though. As a teacher he whether stress eating or smoking and if he will try to quit he will eat even more. Sorry, Suga, there is no hope for your twink ass not to get chubby, that’s life.

Work attitude:

Akaashi is busy busy busy. And if he is not busy it means he is suicidal. In all my aus where he is a normal person he works like a normal person, and if he does not work he ruins his life….

He can easily get himself overworked though that’s why he needs his friends (we all know it’s Kuroo) to drag him out of that endless coffee-office-bed loop. But the bad thing is when he gets into this state he distances himself from everyone so it must be a something out of ordinary to get him out of there.

Sugawara generously bestows energy on everyone around him. He works with kids so he is always in motion and always thinks of ways to entertain them (screw Asian traditional education I believe Suga drains himself like European teachers do). That’s why he does not have a private life 🥹 I am actually not concentrating on his work much, maybe I should because, oh these awkward situations when you can’t go to the shop to buy some beer because some students might see you lol

I am still reluctant to tie Sugawara to his profession though, (give this man a chance not to be a slave of educational system!!) that’s why sometimes he is freelancing or looking for job (put it simply disappoints his family.)

Dating choices:

Akaashi likes to predict his date’s preferences and be on the lead. He likes to please and surprise, but at the same time he is not the type to entertain. His own preference would be art exhibitions (the stranger the better) or quiet places where it is comfortable to talk.

(Also, cosmetics stores where he can try out new lipstick but that is completely different story💅🏻)

Sugawara prefers open spaces with beautiful scenery. However his dream date is drive-in cinema with retro cars. He also likes clubs and other places with active leisure like bowling or rollerblading.
