Soooooo much needed growth on our ackee trees. My mouth is already watering at the thought of curried ackee steamed buns 🤤 Did you guys know that ackee is one of the many fruits that the caribbean is known for yet didn’t originate from this part of the world? The first ackee tree in Jamaica was grown from a seed brought on-shore from West Africa by a captain of a slave ship in 1778. Similar story with the breadfruit and mangoes. Just some food for thought 💭 ・・・ #growninhaiti #Ackee #akee #blighiasapida #haiti #ayiti #seedsovereignty #foodsecurity #reforestation #diversity #growth #agroforestry #plantatree #foodforest #plantedfromseed #organic #nogmos #nopesticides #noherbicides https://www.instagram.com/p/CGpa7_rFYSj/?igshid=vm3rtlthdhz5
