Kind of an old tutorial, but someone might find it useful? I hope. I really apologize for the shoddy layouting and potato camera photos though, I was just starting on using MediBang around this time (I used to manually put text over my stuff with MS Paint lmao) and my phone was very low-tech at the time.
Additional notes from original upload:
One thing I forgot to mention is about highlights, especially in the hair. Since I can't really use the jelly roll for ALL the lighting, I usually leave out a space blank when coloring where I want the highlights to be.
Ah, I also forgot to include in the tutorial itself because I didn't have enough space left but this was also said in my old tutorial: The reason for putting a base color first rather than just going straight to solid coloring is because of the white spots. It's hard to explain what it is if you're not really familiar with it, but, it's basically like the missed spots that exist when you color with crayons. Like, no matter how you color over and over it, there's always those annoying white spots on the paper. I really hated it, and that's how I came up with a solution for it. Foundations first before actual coloring. XD

Btw, the “old(er) tutorial” mentioned in question is... even worse, but feel free to check it out here if you like. I’m bad at explaining myself but I still use the same techniques now! Please feel free to ask questions if you have any, and I hope you have a nice day.
This is a compilation of links to galleries/downloadable packs (mostly from DeviantArt) of either f2u or p2u manga screentones.
Just to clarify: All I did was compile them, ‘cause I use them too. Each of the users who made/provided them tones to be credited and sent love to are listed below~

For those who also need some screentones, please check these lovely people out and their resources! ; w ; I'll edit this up when I find more, even outside dA. I'll also keep this for me in case I lose my own list.
Take note that these are mostly image packs that contain .png/.jpeg/.bmp files because I can't be bothered with photoshop or sai brushes haiyah
