I would now like to shill my absolute favorite sheets. I do not benefit from this at all except knowing you might also get to enjoy the best sheets I, a mattress salesperson, have ever found.
The company I love is called DreamFit. If you just want a link here’s where you can find several options for sale and you don’t have to read my spiel. You can buy directly from the company but it costs the same and this is my friend’s store who sells them. I designed their logo.
Why do I think these sheets kick absolute ass? I’m so glad you asked.
First, they’re single ply fabric. A lot of sheets will weave multiple ply’s together and that makes a material that pills up and isn’t as soft. They also use longer staples of cotton which makes them super soft and lovely. My favorite is the Egyptian cotton but the bamboo and tencel are also very nice.
The top sheet is oversized so you’re not desperately fighting the other person in bed for covers. The fitted sheet has a thick elastic band around the bottom so they go snug on any size mattress. And all four corners have elastic bands so they never ever pop off, what a blessing. On bamboo and up they’re even color coded so you can easily tell which is top and bottom corners.
I’ve personally owned the Egyptian cotton, microfiber, tencel, and bamboo. All the sets I have are over ten years old and in immaculate condition barring human/cat negligence. Betty dumping bleach on one set. But even when Korben bit a hole in one the weave is so tight the hole has never expanded over eight years of regular washing.
In short. If you have a couple hundred bucks and want to treat yourself to a decadent sleep experience, I cannot recommend these highly enough. I literally sell beds and tell my customers to buy these instead of the ones I sell which does not make me any money because these are the tits.
