God it is so hard. it compels me for sure when I actually sit down and think about it but i cant decide if i think it makes sense or not. I think akisae are an understandable pairing since saeko is the ultimate karasuno Big Sis and akiteru is the ultimate karasuno Big Bro and they clearly hang out with the neighbourhood association. theyre a fun pairing bc they have quite different vibes (saeko being so cool and a wild kid in high school where akiteru has inescapable tsukishima nerd vibes to me) but they both go off the wall supporting their little brothers and thats so sweet. OH AND they r hanging out together in timeskip still right ??

then TENMA. we dont get much canon interaction if I remember rightly. BUT saeko is hinted to maybe have had a little thing for tenma in high school, and akiteru and tenma were the original tsukishima/little giant rivalry, even if they didnt seem to have a personal rivalry or see it that way lol. i dont think the tenma part of the trio 'makes sense' just because they barely interact and dont seem to have any strong feelings about each other in canon. BUT !! the potential is there and it compels me

AkiSaeTen maid and butler café AU hcs

I was look up some common part time jobs in Japan and there's your usual fast food and convenience store and Starbuck's jobs, but then, I found it. Get ready for akisaeten maid and butler café AU!

The three of them end up working there part time over the summer or during college or over the summer during college. They all vaguely know or recognize each other from high school, but aren't super close, aside from Akiteru and Tenma due to volleyball. Saeko knows who both of them are, but they aren't like best friends or anything. Anyway, they end up working at a maid and butler café for a bit and since they all kinda know each other, Saeko is like, "We're all friends now, so we don't have to go through all this awkwardness alone."

Things aren't too bad at the café. Outside of peak hours, they definitely reminisce about high school and talk about all the weird customers and interactions because that's what you do in customer service. They aren't super close yet, but they aren't vague acquaintances like before. They're just coworkers who happen to know each other, but then there's an incident that leads to them growing closer.

Sadly, in a job like this, there are always going to be creeps who try and harass the maids and butlers. You'd think the target would be Saeko since she's a woman, but it's actually Akiteru. He's sweet and friendly and that earns him a reputation among patrons, one of which misreads Akiteru doing his job as him flirting and being interested in him. This dude keeps bothering Akiteru and asking him out one day, but Akiteru is keeps trying to be nice and friendly, while also turning him down, but the dude keeps thinking that Akiteru is playing hard to get and is being shy.

But then! That's when Saeko marches over and is like, "Get ready to catch these hands, dickbag!" because she's not about to let this shit go down. Tenma also comes over to stop the gross dude too because yeah, he's mellowed out since high school, but Saeko mentions seeing him hitting lockers after growing frustrated during a practice match. So he probably still has a bit of a temper or he at least has the ability to go feral if anything shitty goes down and Akiteru getting harassed definitely falls into that category.

Anyway, gross dude gets kicked out. I want to believe that most maid cafés are good about making sure their employees are all safe, so yeah. Akiteru, Saeko, and Tenma all keep their jobs, dickbag gets banned, and it's all good for them now. Work comes to an end and they're heading home and they usually head off separately, but Saeko suggests that they go and hang out for a bit instead. Tenma rolls with it, so Akiteru agrees to join too. It's just dinner, but they have fun and it's nice to hang out while not at work. They get ready to leave and once again, Akiteru is surprised because Saeko suggests that they all walk each other home. She says something about how she's a woman and she can't be out alone at night, but they all know it's a bit of that and also because of what happened to Akiteru earlier. So they walk Saeko home first and Tenma ends up walking Akiteru home and making sure he's okay.

After that, they start hanging out more outside of work. It starts out once again with Saeko telling them to talk her home and Tenma walking Akiteru home, but they start meeting up and planning to hang out in other places too. Akiteru falls for Saeko first because damn, how could you not?! She's cool af! But also, they bond over their love for their younger siblings and Akiteru definitely asks Saeko for advice on how to deal with Tsukki because her relationship with Tanaka is great. He falls for Tenma later on, as they continue to walk each other home and talk late at night. Tenma has changed from who he was in high school and Akiteru has as well. Both of them have mellowed out and grown up and Akiteru finds himself interested in him as well.

Akiteru is now stuck and worried about his relationship to them because he likes them both, but he thinks he can't be with both of them or either of them without making it awkward. He values their friendship as well and he doesn't want to do that, but Saeko is more perceptive than he expected and picks up on the change immediately. The next time they hang out, Saeko casually drops the fact that she had a thing for Tenma back in high school because she has no chill or time to not be direct. She didn't know Akiteru, but she thinks that if they had met back then, she probably would have had a thing for him too. Akiteru is like !!! and is trying to figure out if Saeko is saying what he thinks she's saying and that's when Tenma chimes in and is like, if I weren't so invested in volleyball and actually paid attention to people, I probably would've had a think for y'all too. So now, Akiteru is definitely like **!!!** because they're all looking at him and being like, "You got something you want to confess too, Aki?" and that's when he finally confesses and they're all like, oh thank god. We can actually start dating and it won't be weird.
