had a dream that I was Sam Vimes and I was walking home after a rainstorm but then I decided to stop by a hill with a fallen tree (no one was allowed to take it, I don't remember why), and this guy I had been trying to catch earlier was there, chopping up the wood. he had an accomplice this time, though, so I ducked out of sight, trying to figure out how to make this work when I was outnumbered and both of them were above me. they saw me, unfortunately, and then started making fun of me and one shot a little rock at me like a blowdart. pretty impressive, considering the distance. they let me shoot one back too, as a show of truce, I guess. at this point they had stopped chopping wood and were no longer doing anything illegal, and they must have hidden the axe, so it would have been a my-word-against-theirs situation. I think I just left them alone after that but I'm not sure; I had a bunch of weird dreams
