You know what? Fuck Alaska.

Fuck everyone who voted for this actual-factual malicious chaos agent of a governor, who is destroying climate science teams, the educational system, public health, senior homes, public services, public commission boards, and other actions that enable him to essentially rob our future and give away money we don't have to the oil industry and to "boost" the Permanent Fund Dividend checks. This is absolutely unsustainable. Fuck you, Mike Dunleavy. Fuck you.

Fuck everyone who voted for Jerry Matherly, the Mayor of Fairbanks, who vetoed the hard-won equal rights measure for the city; that ordinance passed with a 4-2 vote after MONTHS of threats against the LGBTQIA/queer community, after months of hard work and community meetings and work sessions and testimonials. He's putting it on the ballot and intentionally torpedoing it; we cannot bank on the idea that the majority will ever protect the minority by public vote. That's part of why we HAVE A REPRESENTATIONAL GOVERNMENT, YOU FUCK.

I am so angry. I am so sad. These men, and men like them, should not have the power to make me hate my state, and yet they do. Their policies directly impact my life and livelihood, and those of hundreds of thousands of Alaskans, for the sake of their conservative, shortsighted, fucking malicious trashfire of a voter base.

The guillotines are coming, guys, and the people operating them will remember this.

Perennial Alaska Anti-Abortion Senator Presents Needless Late-Term Abortion Bill for First Committee Hearing

Watch and listen to Sen. Coghill defend his latest adversarial abortion bill, SB179, in its first committee hearing yesterday. As usual, Sen. Stoltze made his anti-abortion-rights agenda clear for the record. Fortunately it is "set aside for now" and did not pass on to the next committee.

"An Act prohibiting abortions when the unborn child is viable outside the pregnant woman's womb with certain exceptions; providing that an infant removed from a pregnant woman's womb alive after an abortion may be surrendered and found to be a child in need of aid; and repealing a prohibition against partial-birth abortions."
