today i watched the x files movie ™️ i got for christmas (the dvd case is a bit dubious bc the cover design looks very trashy xD, also the fact that my dad got it from a very dubious but pleasant second hand shop) uhh, but this is not a scene from the movie 👀 i saw a gifset somewhere on here and … mulder just being mulder.

Montagsgedanken zum Abend

Neuer Tag neue Woche mitte des Monats. Ansich interessante Zeit aber eigentlich scheiß egal.

Naja wie dem auch sei es ist aufjedenfall Nachtschicht angesagt und ich seh die ersten Alien und Pyramiden Dokus schon auf mich zukommen.

Aktuell bin ich am Akte X und Lucifer kuken und ich muss sagen die Wahrheit liegt irgendwo da draußen Scully....

In diesem Sinne haltet die Augen Ohren und Nasen auf bis dann 😆

(The times I thought it was safe to watch some of the XF revival on german TV...)

I hate it when they dub the laughter. Or the ... breathing? (It’s those little things that make me watch films in their original versions in the first place. It’s also impossible to not dub certain things without making it all sound super weird - like: when people suddenly burst into song.) Well, I hate dubbing in general. 

Most of the time.  Although I do recognize the effort put into most german dubbing. I really do. It is an art. And it is an integral and democratizicing part of the distribution process - especially for films in languages other than english or french.  It doesn’t change the fact that too many different actors are dubbed by the same fucking voice artist. Thank you very much, dubbing industry! Way to let the Whatever. I just tuned into the german broadcast of Rm9.... . Because I deemed it somewhat safe to catch on german tv. But it only took Scully’s fake/dubbed laughter in the Sushi restaurant to get my blood boiling.  (There has been a whole clusterfuck going on regarding the german dubbing choice for Duchovny for the revival. They chose another voice actor (although DD has had the same dubbing artist for all his movies and tv shows). Fans got understandably mad. And yet they chose the different cheaper(!) version again for season 11.)
