what she’s thinking: david duchovny and gillian anderson have known each other for longer than they haven’t and they’re forever intrinsically linked in the public eye. whether they ever had an affair or admitted to any kind of romantic love offscreen we will never know but either way their bond is so profound that they changed the trajectory of fandom and left fans, interviewers, and colleagues alike scrambling to discover just what happened between them. but what happened between them was everything, probably every human emotion at one time or another, and can’t ever be summed up in a single term because they shared so many different points and aspects of their lives. they didn’t even have a choice about most of it and yet they still made it work on levels that no one else can comprehend. they are and always will be constants in each other’s life and whether or not it’s love, it’s beautiful.
