Headcanons for going trick or treating with the Astros.

Trick or Treating with the NASA Astronauts:

they all know the houses in the neighborhood that have the king size candy bars

Pete Conrad and Al Bean have been planning their costumes for weeks

you almost laugh your butt off when they come to pick you up in a toothbrush and toothpaste couples costume

Frank Borman is the designated driver

if asked if he was going to dress up, he was like "Fuck no"

and that was it

John Young was basically the same way, except no expletives

Frank drives y'all around the neighborhood so you don't have to walk

you bump into Gene Cernan taking Tracy down the street

Pete and Al basically give Tracy all their candy <3

Pete makes it a whole thing of saying "Trick or Treat, smell my feet..."

every time

at every house

all the housewives just look at him like "please shut up and go"

Frank has probably yelled at him from the car to shut up a couple times

Al is ofc a total sweetheart to everyone

complimenting the outdoor decor

giving his candy to the too dang cute trick or treaters

you also see Neil with his kids

he looks bored af

you go to your house afterwards to eat candy and watch scary movies

you all empty your candy bags on the kitchen counter and share

Frank takes all the tootsie rolls

"Because I was nice enough to drive you knuckleheads!"

Pete chooses some cheesy horror b movie

basically laughs the whole way through

John Young plays like he's definitely not interested in watching

but is in fact the only one who stays awake the whole time to watch it

Headcanons for showing the Astros all the stuffies you have

Showing the Astronauts Your Stuffies Collection:

you were finally allowed to move to your new big office at JSC

no more cramped cubicles!! yay!

you decided to move your stuffies collection into your new office

you had been collecting them for some years now

a couple of the Astros stopped by your office to help you move in

they immediately gravitated to the big box of stuffies in the middle of the room

"what are these?" John Glenn picked up a Snoopy plush

you explain to them that their your stuffies collection

they think it's cute and endearing

so they help you to decorate your office with them

Al Bean likes the colorful, soft ones

he wants to set them up color-code style on your bookshelf

but John thinks some should go on your desk

to show them off to visitors

he likes the themed ones

like Peanuts or Disney stuffies

Mike Collins starts putting a few on the windowsill

and a couple on your sofa and chairs

you thank them for their help

they all come stop in from time to time

they all have their favorite stuffies

and will pick them up and pat them if they need to relax for a bit

they also bring you quite a few over the years to add to your collection

Headcanons for having a emotional mental breakdown and the Astros being worried about you

The Astronauts Worrying About You After an Emotional Breakdown:

they are all extremely worried about you

they want the best for you

at least one of the them will call you at some point during their day

they all sign a really cute card and send it to you

Al Bean brings over a pot of soup for you

you're pretty sure his wife made it

but it's very thoughtful of him to bring it

Mike likes to pop over unannounced and watch tv with you

sometimes you'll feel like talking about what's bothering you

other times you just need the silence

but either way, Mike is there

Frank and Jim think you should get out of the house more

but both of them have separate prescriptions for this

Jim tries to get you to play handball with he and Ed White

but Frank thinks you should get involved in a project of some sort

so basically work

it takes you some time to get back in the swing of things

but you feel better knowing that your friends have your back
