Today is Apollo 12 launch anniversary! Let's remember this day choosing something cosmic! 🌌
Apollo 12, 1969
Lunar Module Intrepid and astronaut, possibly Alan Bean on lunar surface, Apollo 12.
Alan Bean's Favorite Moon rock
U.S. Space and Rocket Center, Huntsville, Alabama
Some pictures I took of the Apollo 12 Moon Rock in Huntsville. Apparently I didn't get a good picture of it, but the case it's in is signed by Alan Bean, and he wrote:
"I remember this rock... It was my favorite one ☆"
November 20, 1969: Apollo 12 astronaut Alan Bean holds a sample container filled with lunar soil. Pete Conrad, who took this image, can be seen in Bean’s helmet visor.
At the NASA press conference today they've shared that during the lunar flyby tomorrow Artemis II will be able to see the sites of Apollo 12 and Apollo 14 on the surface.
If we get to see photos?? Of what has remained all these years on the moon from Apollo missions?? I am going to be inconsolable.
