Astronaut Text Post Memes – Apollo 11 Edition (pt 5)

A lot of people are placing bets on who's going to be the last Beatle (my money says Ringo), but I'm more concerned over who's going to be the last Apollo astronaut. Jim Lovell is the only guy who has flown to the moon twice, so I'd like it to be him but it'll probably be Charlie Duke or Harrison Schmitt just because they're younger.

This xkcd from 2011 seems to have undershot it, if anything

4 left in 2024, exactly on the 95th percentile line. Unless they start dropping like flies over the summer, we'll be above the line. The youngest one turns 89 in October, the oldest turns 95 next January, but I doubt any of them will reach 100.

at least one of the them will call you at some point during their day

they all sign a really cute card and send it to you

but it's very thoughtful of him to bring it

Mike likes to pop over unannounced and watch tv with you

sometimes you'll feel like talking about what's bothering you

other times you just need the silence

but either way, Mike is there
