Carat Philippines, recently launched a new advocacy project for all OPM Musician – Alab: The Independent Musician Rising Awards. It aims to support unsigned independent musicians to showcase their talent and this project will also serve as an avenue for them to be heard and discovered.

I know there are a lot of Tumblr bloggers who really love music – specially OPM – as much as I do. Personally, whenever I go to some gigs, I'm really fascinated on how they use their passion to give us memorable experience. Through their music, we are able to hear and discover different stories and I know with the help of this project, we'll be able to support them and keep that passion in music alive and burning.

So, if you know someone who has that kind of passion, invite them to join. How? All they need to do is to submit a video of their original composition at www.fusion.ph/alab and get a chance to win 20,000 cash if they’re the top artist, and 300,000 cash if they become the grand champion. Of course, that’s just seed capital. Alab will also support these musicians through professional contract, management, production, grooming plus a special spot on Fusion 2017.

As a supporter, let's spread our love for OPM. Help us spread the word about this advocacy. This is our chance. After all, no less than the future of OPM is at stake in this campaign. It’s also in the best interest of Filipino musicians, especially the young up-and-coming artists, for OPM to continuously thrive.
