Psychic-type pokemon typically have a skull that is much, much harder than a human’s.
Otherwise, their skulls could crack from the inside from the activity.
Alakasam’s skull however, draws calcium from the rest of it’s skeleton allowing it to expand like a balloon until there is none left. this is currently being researched.
