Today, we honor Albert Parsons—my partner in both life and revolution. Happy Birthday, my love. Though time has passed and they’ve tried to erase your name from history, I will never let your memory fade. You were the heart of the movement, the brave soul who stood alongside workers in the fight for dignity and justice.
You didn’t just talk the talk, you walked the walk, and it cost you everything. You gave your life for the cause—your final breath a defiant cry against the forces that sought to oppress the working class. They hanged you, Albert, but they couldn't silence the echo of your fight. That fight lives on in every worker who dares to rise, every protestor who dares to speak, and in the hearts of all of us who keep pushing for a better world.
Your courage and your uncompromising stance against injustice have been a guiding light for me. We shared dreams of a world where the laborer was no longer a pawn in the hands of the rich and powerful, and though you were taken from me far too soon, your spirit lives on in the work we did together—and the work that still needs to be done.
On this day, I remember not just the husband I loved, but the tireless revolutionary who, even in death, continues to stir the hearts of the oppressed. Your sacrifice was not in vain, Albert. You are not just a martyr for the cause—you are the embodiment of the fight for workers' rights and the ongoing struggle for freedom.
Happy Birthday, my dear Albert. Though they may have taken your life, they will never take the truth of what you stood for. I will carry it with me always."_
Burn after you read,
