Last week, one of the greatest draftsman ever lived past away. I am a bit late, but this is my homage to Albert Uderzo. Thanks for your humorous, educational and beautifully drawn Asterix comics. I’m sure your style influenced and inspired a ton of artists.

RIP Albert Uderzo, the incredible artist and co-creator of the ASTERIX book series alongside writer René Goscinny. His books helped shape my childhood and were instrumental in my wanting to become an artist. My brother and sister and I were all obsessed with the slapstick comedy and stunning detail in these incredible books. Albert made his characters so expressive and so animated, you became totally immersed in his world of warring Gauls, Romans, Pirates, and Visigoths.
